I was more at the time, trying to stay in Denver, out West. It’s something we never really discussed because, as much as I loved Coach Tomlin, there is no better head coach in football as a player to work for or as a coach to work for. I learned so much from him and the Rooney’s and the way they run their organization. For me that was a great learning experience. I learned a lot from my years there.”

That’s awesome. Now if Jibbs could finally…

- Know when to call a time out.

-Actually embrace game planning.

- Stop living in his fears.

- Deploy a modern offense.

- Alocate more time to contingency planning than he does wordsmiffin.

- Realize running the wheels off one workhorse RB isn’t a good idea.

- Stop easing into games and seasons.

- Learn to put bad teams away.

- figure out how to dictate tempo and pace rather than having it dictated to him so often.

- Bring in high quality coordinators and allow them to do their jobs vs. yes men lackeys that will run his lame bullshit without question.

- Maybe win a playoff game or two and stop being one of the easiest outs in the lineup.

He’d be worthy of some legit praise rather than this very trivial and thin reason to bust out the pom poms.

When you pair mediocre talent with mediocre coaching that’s the result you are going to get.

Was professional malpractice putting Ben behind that oline last year.

They asked that exact question and he said he was trying to stay out west in Colorado with his family (daughter and grand kids). Then when he was let go the job was not available.

No. Munchak is seen as a coaching god around here, so his opinion has weight. He said he LOVES Tomlin, and he LEARNED from Tomlin, and that is not some "trivial" praise, nor just a guy trying to keep a job possibility open. But I guess the Tomlin haters have to dismiss Munchak's praise of Tomlin any way they can.

Speaking for myself, a card carrying member of the Cool Shades Hate Club”, my opinion comes from what Jibbs has put on tape. And personally, I’ve never considered Munchak as some coaching god, so his “trivial” praise of Tomlin, is just that…trivial.

I wasn’t using trivial in those terms. The praise from Munchak is fine. I mean he said he learned some things while here. Great but yay.

My use of trivial was implying that Munchak’s comment is trivial in relation to Jibbs many many warts.

Agreed. Seems they wanted Ben gone sooner than later. Very shitty to leave him with that O-line.

It would be great if he came back. He can obviously get the best out of OL talent—even if that talent isn’t very good.
