Damn disappointing

Better 1st half than usual but still totally unacceptable

Kenny had 1 really bad play

Defense played mostly well except for 1 play

Is this the beginning of bottoming out

Or just a rough loss by an improving team ??

Short week. If Kenny and Minkah are ok on paper the Steelers can beat the Titans

We will see

Happy Fucking Hallo Fucking Ween

Thursday game against Will Levis who threw as many TDs today in his first start as ours has thrown all year.

I think this is the most down I've been on the Steelers in a long time.

Can we just have a game or two where the offense breaks out? Where Pickett is slinging it all over the field with 3 or more passing TDs, and we blow someone out? It doesn't have to be sustained, just a game or two. Just a blip. Is it so much to ask?

Just something to give us any fucking hope whatsoever? Any hope at all? Please?

Is this what the Bubby Brister era felt like? I am not old enough to clearly remember the late 1980s, but it seems like this is the closest the Steelers have been since then (with the possible exception of the 1998-2000 lull).

The saddest part may be that Canada actually had some imagination in his opening script (for the record he still sucks). Diontae really screwed the team from having some early momentum.

Truly a team loss all around.

+3 in turnovers, held opponent to 0-3 in red zone scoring a td.

And we lose by 10

Hmm?!

You didn’t see this happening, once the HOF QB retired?

Remember all those perennial nobody teams we used to talk shit about?

Steelers are becoming that sort of team.

Tomlin would’ve been fired seasons ago, coaching many other teams.

Thursday games are usually a shitfest. The other team will hand us that game in historically laughable fashion.

Probably our best chance to win a game the rest of the year.

He is the 4th string/practice squad TE. Muuth is hurt so they are trying to make 1 TE out of 3 bodies.

Thanks. I started to watch the game late today and saw him making a few catches, but had no idea who he was. It's disappointing to not see Darnell Washington in there instead. I'm not sure if that's a "rookies sit" thing or if Washington is not living up to his expectations. It's disappointing either way.

 Just wait... the Steelers are going to get that pre-season mojo back any week now! The preening and bragging about the pre-season this year from so many people (including the Pittsburgh media and the team itself) was pathetic. It made me feel like a Browns or a Commanders fan. Pre-season champions!

Washington, Heyward and Williams all played today and last week and the week before. Last week they even had a 23 personnel set with both Harris and Warren on the field with all 3 TEs listed. Worked for Najee's TD.

I fell for it…. Never again will I hold any hope in this team until Deuce and Tomlin are no longer involved.

That’s possible

The fact is social media wise at least DW sees and has promoted himself as the 6th offensive lineman and Tomlin has stated publicly that appeals to the Steelers

Not even remotely similar

Those teams were still competitive.

They might not have been championship caliber, but they were head and shoulders above this team.

Yep.

AFC Championship game in 1984 and nearly beat Denver in the divisional round with Bubby in 89’.

I'm not that old and even I remember how bad 1988 was as a kid. I think we lost 6 in a row at one point. Got smashed by Cincy 42-7 and we were drafting stiffs like Aaron Jones in the 1st round. This is nowhere near the bottom yet.

The 1985-1988 period looks pretty grim in retrospect... 7-9 in 1985, 6-10 in 1986, 8-7 in 1987, and 5-11 in 1988. I guess that's more the Mark Malone era than the Bubby Brister era, but still, are these records misleading? Did they play better than their record those years? My earliest Steelers memory in the 1989 Wildcard game against the Oilers when I was 7, so I don't recall.

The 1998-2000 period was bad too. This current post-Ben era is at least as bad as that was, despite the technically not yet having a losing season.

No coincidence that the most recent times comparable to this current team involved major QB questions. Is KP the new Mark Malone? The new Bubby? The new Kordell (albeit with markedly different skill set)?
