Can we just send this fucking guy off as well? What a fucking horrible draft pick. And he’s being a pouty bitch. I don’t blame the attitude but MAN did we fuck this one up as well.

It’s all so sad at this point
OMG if he goes left he's got 10-12 yards, easy

I keep watching the clip and I…..I cannot understand how he cuts back to the right.
Are these players purposely fucking up to get Tomlin canned???

This isn't new. He's not doing it on purpose. He just isn't very good. He's a killer for an offense unless there are some gaping holes and the D is exhausted.

I thought that tonight. There seems to be a level of fucking up that is too obvious.
"I'm institutionalized, man," he joked. "I gotta have it. I just love the challenges week in and week out that this job provides: the growth in it, the collective growth, the individual growth."
Yeah, he's just not good.
I want to try to defend the guy and say maybe it looked different on the field, but I can't defend misreading the block. OL clearly has leverage outside the defender - cut left regardless of what you don't see on the second level.

Watching that play live I was yelling “why the fuck is he running right into the defenders arms”
I've said for a long time now:
We will NEVER have even an average offense with a running game featuring Najee Harris. He's so incredibly limited.

I love Semalou’s body language on that play. He’s like “did this idiot really cut back into the defender that I just sealed off completely???”
Yowza!

Watching that again, even with everything else awful about the play....Najee gets arm tackled by the dude. He's 245 and runs completely upright. Despite everything else, he should have run right through that tackle.
He's just so fucking bad.

Air Force Amy doesn’t have a gaping hole as big as the one Najee got there.
He’ll figure it out though…

He probably asked Tomlin to sit down and look at the tape... and Tomlin told him "na, don't got time, your good man"
SteelerDayTrader, who is currently on your ignore list, made this post.
It's bad enough making the mistake of drafting Najee #1 when the rest of the league is prioritizing speed mismatches at the RB position (ie. Detroit, SF, Eagles, KC, Dolphins, etc.). I've been saying now for about 6 years that we need speed, speed, and more speed....(and not the Calvin Austin kind that has no strength or much change of direction).
So, it's bad enough making the mistake...the ultimate sin is compounding by continuing to feed Najee. You have Warren who is constantly out there trying to get into a rhythm and he gets yanked for Najee to get his carries.
Aside from his 15 yard run, Najee had 11 carries for 18 yards and a fumble. I mean this is your team leader and feature back? How the fck can Rooney look at this and not vomit?
I hope Acrisure is empty this week.

That was Najee's worst game so far. He was slow, ran into tackles, allowed himself to be tackled. Just a poor display.
But they kept giving him the ball on first down the entire game.

I've been pounding the drum for speed at the running back position since Bell's last couple years here when the patty cake required from our OL so Bell could stop and eat a sandwich waiting for the ILB to make a move so Bell could gain an extra yard and a half but with no burst to get downfield combined with too many touches was slowing down the offense.franco32 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 3:03 pmIt's bad enough making the mistake of drafting Najee #1 when the rest of the league is prioritizing speed mismatches at the RB position (ie. Parkers speed was a weapon in 2005, a Lombardi season.
The idea that 3 and a half yds and a cloud of Bettis style dust plus defense got this franchise 6 Lombardis is a fallacy.

I know it’s fashionable to dump on Najee, but look at the stance Seumalo takes. He’s blocking the DT towards the sidelines to open the middle. Najee picked the hole it was designed to go through, Seumalo got beat.

You pick the hole that is a reality, not what is designed on paper. It's not tecmo bowl. People have such a hard on for Najee. You can like the kid as a person and wish he was an element to a dynamic offense but Christ don’t kid yourself, it was a horrible draft pick value wise. That, Bush and Pickett…I mean what’s worse than that?

Also can’t blame Trubisky for throwing into triple coverage when everyone else is open. He’s just going where the play was designed to go.
Any RB who misses a hole this big should be flat out embarrassed.R_S wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 12:48 amYou pick the hole that is a reality, not what is designed on paper. It's not tecmo bowl. And it doesn’t look like he’s blocking him forward the sideline here.

I rewatched the play several times and what I saw was Seumalo got absolutely tooled. He was set up to push the defender towards the sidelines, threw a one handed punch with his right hand. As soon as he did that the defender identified which way he was being blocked and blew through that weak punch and wrecked the play. I don’t see how you can fault anyone but Seumalo on this. Even if Najee went the other way, that defender was kicking our pice of shit guards ass and making the tackle. Not saying Najee has great vision, but our linemen largely suck at blocking as well. We’re bad everywhere on offense.
Not sure how you can excuse Najee there.
Any back worth a damn sees that hole and blows through it.
Not saying the guard was kicking ass. But if Najee takes what is massively there it isn’t an issue.
Overall their big oline signing hasn’t been good.
But everyone regresses on this team.

It looks blindingly obvious that if he runs left it will be wide open for 10 yards and if he runs right he’ll have to go through a DT. He then runs right and can’t get through the DT.Steelperch wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 2:23 amI rewatched the play several times and what I saw was Seumalo got absolutely tooled. I have no idea how you imagine this not being an easy big run if he goes left, but i guess hard to prove at this point beyond the whole ‘blindingly obvious’ part of it.

Whatever. The title was ELITE vision, which Najee doesn’t have. If he cuts left there he gets 10-15 yards easy.

Does anyone here think they’d be a good employee with a positive attitude working in this offense? Your boss is grossly incompetent. They aren’t using you to do the job you were hired to do. Your main coworker fucks everything up making your job impossible. I don’t blame our skill guys from being malcontents, not one bit. Every one of you assholes would be acting up just the same, me included.Steelafan77 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 3:46 amWinning is a Cure All…. just sayn’.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 3:06 amCan we just send this fucking guy off as well?
