- Wow. I’m enjoying the aggressive nature to this offseason so far. The Steelers have gotten rid of some bitches and picked up draft picks and solid players that seem like they will be able to contribute in some cases far more than those they replaced. The Steeler brass (Tomlin Khan and Weidl) deserve some praise. How much remains to be seen but ending the Kenny Touchdown era is a BIG deal. Good riddance New Jersey scumbag. Hopefully those 3 coalesce around keeping dumbfuck Rooney at bay. Lol

- Roberts and Queen. I’m not really worried about this move as much as some. Both backer positions need quality backups as it’s increasingly rare that either backer position plays a full season. Will they play next to each other ? Will one ride the bench ? I don’t know but in the end we got a quality LB in some roles for a decent cap hit. Hopefully Cole Holcomb comes back strong. If so that’s the makings of a better than last year unit.

- Wilson and Fields. Wow. Two of the more athletic QBs in the league for peanuts while the Steelers scout the 2025 QB draft and beyond. AND a net gain in draft picks. What’s not to like ?? Fuck you Kenny Touchdown. I don’t really expect the Steelers to legitimately compete for a Lombardi this year HOWEVER both Wilson and Fields have the tools to make a few big plays needed in the postseason to steal some Ws.

- Center. I’m not a huge fan of drafting a center before the 4th in this draft. I don’t see the top guys being great C2 candidates. Sorry I just don’t. I’m fine with rolling with Herbig and a 4th or later center draft pick. I’m actually fine just rolling with Herbig truthfully but a day 3 draft pick probably won’t piss me off immensely. Lol

- Wide Receiver. My fave has disappeared from all draft news I can find. I’m gonna ask for B2Bs help tracking down his status. Lol. Pickens Austin and Jefferson isn’t awe inspiring but IMO it’s not horrible either. I’d like to see the first 2 picks go RT or CB and a DL in the 3rd. With two 4ths and two 6ths I feel like we have plenty of ammo to pick up a decent rookie WR prospect

- The back end. Safety beyond Minkah remains somewhat in flux but I do like how Kazee Eillot and Thompson approach the game. Porter is a star in the making. I think Trice is always gonna be an injury issue and I like what Jackson Rush Barcoo and Barnes have to offer on paper. If it was up to me I’d grab Arnold in the 1st and hope to draft Porter’s cousin Shon Stevens in the 6th. That would be one helluva strong CB group in a very pass happy era.

- Overall I’m deeply excited for the draft and the season again. The Steelers got rid of the two biggest bitches on the team AND lowered their cap hit AND got notable additional draft capital AND added better players to the roster. I can’t ask for more than that heading into another important draft

Fuck you Kenny Touchdown

Go Steelers !!

I respectfully disagree I love the Two Centers and believe the Steelers need to walk away with one. I think we add another ILB . The Wr Core will need an Upgrade need a good 2 and think that come from the draft unless Omar pulls off another trade.

Don't agree with some of the signings but I'm not going to root against the Steelers because of it like some do. Can't wait for the draft though, I'm thinking it has to be d-line or Center 1st round.

Why do you think they got them for peanuts?

I don't get the giddiness on the board over getting other people's trash at the most important position in football.

Sure we may have upgraded the position but what's the end game? NHALS? 1 playoff win?

If we get a playoff win this season I fear the FO will secretly celebrate like they won the Super Bowl. Half the fanbase will.

Unless Khan is different but he might be a product of the system (most likely). We shall see. It's not like we scoured the universe looking for fresh ideas. Khan has been with the Steelers nearly all of his professional career.

I think they are going to have to get a "big" WR and perhaps in the draft. If Odunze falls into the teens, I expect them to try and trade up for him. Otherwise, Equanimeous St. Brown fit that bill. Of the other WR FA, I like Paris Campbell. Good route runner. Perhaps Josh Reynolds.

If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet I wouldn’t be more surprised if Rome Odunze fell into the teens.

Ain’t happenin

I don’t think YOUR Steelers go WR in rd 1 but if we’ve learned anything this week it’s anything is possible with Omar Khan (Not Kahn. He’s not a hot dog).

Two time National Champion AD Mitchell and friend of George Pickens would be a logical choice should the Khan artist be so inclined

Regardless, I hope they’re done dumpster diving for Artie leftovers at WR

After all the craziness of the last week or so, here's where things stand for picks:

2024:

1.20
2.51
3.84
3.98
4.119
6.178
6.195

I wouldn't be surprised to see Khan work a trade down from 20 if they're not in on JPJ and if the monster GA tackle goes early to get an extra pick or two.

In '22 New England moved down from 21 to 29 getting an extra 3rd and 4th. In 2020 the Vikings went from 25 down to 31 picking up an extra 4th and 5th.

If the Steelers did something similar, that would be a preferred scenario. Can grab a CB or C in the bottom of the first, and with the extra mid round picks really address the depth.

I can’t see them not taking a C in first 3 picks

That’s my opinion

Agreed. This is a draft you definitely want more picks in.
