Pick 6. 178, Logan Lee DL Iowa

Post by Steel Bingo » Sat Apr 27, 2024 8:45 pm

Picked by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 6th round at pick 178.

High motor, good athlete who should be capable to help out with the interior pass rush. Like the pick.

Kid looks active as fuck at a position that could really use reinforcements.

Excited about this pick.

Hope he pans out.

Definitely a developmental pick. Dude has the length and athleticism to play 3-4 DE, but he'll need to bulk up. Hopefully he's the 2nd coming of Brett Keisel

they say hes 295 now so if he did that bulk up correctly and kept his quickness he's on track. he went to HS in a little country town outside of where i live. local reporters saying he grew up a Steelers fan as well :)

Not sure how 32” arms make see length as a positive. Overall, very similar to Loudermilk height/weight/arm/athletics.

I have no problem with the Steelers spending 5th, 6th round picks on these type of defensive linemen. Yes, arm length is very important in Steeler defensive linemen and how they play in our defense. I laugh when somebody says the Steelers should pick a Jerzan Newton or a Braden Fiske with their short arms in round 2.

The way I see it you can draft similar players in rounds 5 and 6 and you aren't taking that much of a risk, aren't devoting more expensive draft capital.

I can see Lee being a great core special teams player and a nice Braden Fiske-type (a defensive lineman who doesn't exactly meet the Steelers ideals). But that is a nice 6th round gamble instead of in round 2 (pick 39) where the Rams took the actual Fiske.

Kinda wanted Gabe Hall there.

Odd neither Hall nor Fabian Lovett were drafted.

UDFA’s I guess.
