I think there are much worse places he could go for a short-term rental. And players love Tomlin even if their agents are less sanguine on the prospect of dealing with Khan.

Looks like he has two years left at 36 million per year. Neither year is guaranteed. I'm guessing we'd first have to give up a day 1 pick and restructure the deal to make his salary guaranteed, with some voidable years after 2025 and spread it out as a gradual cap hit over a few more years. Likely in any scenario we'd be paying him money after he's gone.

That said, if we could somehow magically make it work, I have no doubt he would make things better. Is it worth it now? Dunno.
