Good that we'll see TJ but if we have to go without both Eliott & Jackson, Lamar may finally have a big day throwing the ball against the Steelers.swissvale72 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 8:53 pmTJ in, Pickens, Fields both out, Elliott doubtful, jackson,,ogunjobi questionable...ugh
On the other side of the ball, the Pickens mess is brutal. Even if he isn't close to 100%, running him down the sidelines would open things up significantly kind of like the Steelers did with Hines in SM XLIII - one pass early on across the middle made a huge difference in opening the field.
Without GP Smith must call the best game of his career as an OC and they absolutely must use the middle of the field. Muuth should get a minimum of 8 targets and probably more but they need to be across the middle, not heading for the sidelines 2 yards from the LOS. Also get the ball to the outlier and let him run a few Ravens over (I'm not sold on Pruitt being of much help but they seem to force the ball in his direction a few times a game).
We absolutely can not ease into this game on O. They need to treat it like the game against the Bengals and go get points early... TDs, not just Boz specials.

I'm sure Tomlin thinks 17-19 points will be plenty to win this game, so I fully expect his sphincter is as tight as it can get and they will indeed be easing into the game.Stillerz Bar wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 9:53 pmGood that we'll see TJ but if we have to go without both Eliott & Jackson, Lamar may finally have a big day throwing the ball against the Steelers.swissvale72 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 8:53 pmTJ in, Pickens, Fields both out, Elliott doubtful, jackson,,ogunjobi questionable...ugh

I think this is going to be on the steeler defense, and for the offense to avoid 3& outs, maintain possession. I'm also going with the history of this series. I think it's a 3-point game and 20 points will be enough to win it.
And...enough already with #13, #15, #81. Not only did Mike Williams catch the game winner against Washington, he also made a very nice one hander on a moon ball vs the browns. And, as has been suggested, a bunch of targets for Muth

Relying on defense? To win?
Noooooo, say it ain’t so, Tomlin!

I kinda feel like that’s addition by subtraction for them. Stonehands is good for dropping a Cpl catches a game.
