Just an interesting nugget from Labriola. Mike Tomlin is the only one, per Dan Rooney (according to Labriola) who wanted to keep Dick Lebeau and his 3-4 defense. Russ Grimm , the guy who knew when to call a TO, wanted to bring in Dean fucking Peas (who at the time had one year of coordinator experience under his belt) to replace Lebeau.
The only real reason I can think anyone would have wanted to replace Lebeau is if they felt threatened by him. Former head coach (albeit not successful), respected and beloved by players and fans.
