We're getting great value on these picks but there's nobody in the organization with the initiative to work on the one thing they need to work on which is character. Character issues are why you get someone with 1st round talent in the 2nd or 3rd. But in order for it to work you have to acknowledge it as a problem and then work on it. GP should have been an absolute home run for us, but alas, we never worked on the one thing holding him back (and it wasn't talent). Tomlin is just fucking lazy and can't be bothered to help the kids grow into men. It's actually pointless for us to take value picks that have character issues.

I still don’t think he was that bad. Maybe if they did some of the stuff they did to feed AB the ball an insane amount the kid would have been alright and you know we might have had some offense and won an extra game or two and could have used him in an attack right out of the gates of a playoff game.

He’s a weak minded snowflake if the offensive system “ruined him”.

It takes little effort to simply go hard every snap and carry out your assignment.

If the offensive system sucks (ours certainly does) then you simply do your job while biding time till you become a free agent.

Every offense is going to ask you to block though when it comes time for a WR to block. He is lazy and only cares bout his own stats.

I don't think fixing him was on their radar. They ran cover for him from the moment they drafted him refusing to acknowledge publicly that there were any character concerns with him. Then continued that shit throughout his entire tenure here until shipping him off. Only real break from that was Tomlin publicly admitting he needs to grow up - but only after he had to personal fouls in one game that the team nearly lost and he knew that if he didn't say something, people would be coming at him.

Otherwise, Picken's shit was just a "pebble in his shoe." It's a pebble until you're shipping off your best offensive player for peanuts and less than you actually drafted him for.
