I mean. What the Hell? That would have been good from 71 or 72 lol.

And it's outside to win the game? Incredible

I mean it's possible all Rogers has to do is get the team to the 40 and points are like 90% probability?

Crazy

Sadly, Boz has covered up a ton of Tomlin warts

Love the player. Hate that he enables Tomlin by his play if that makes sense.

He would have made that from 70 had the goalposts been as wide as a doorway.

Set up a target 60 yards away that is 18 1/2 feet wide and see how many pitch shots you nail right down the center of the uprights.

If Tomlin does get into the HOF the first thing he should do is thank and lobby for Boz.

No wind, flags barely moving.
The stadium warm up pretty nice by this time in the game.
Dry turf at this point.

right after the completion to Metcalf to the Jets 41 my son and I said......Tomlin is good, playing for the FG.
Of course that followed with the screen left that gained a yard. CA3
The screen right that lost 2. Jonu.
We were shocked he did not run the ball up the gut on 3rd and long with over a minute to play.... to kill some clock.

I was thinking the same. When you consider they start at the 35 or sometimes even the 40 on a kickoff, The offense only needs 1 or 2 first downs to get into scoring position. That is not (or should not be) too much to ask for an offense led by Rodgers to accomplish. But as long as Aaron stays healthy and the line continues to give him time the TD to FG ratio should go up. At least that's my hope.
Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS. :D :D :D

Boz is now 45 of 54 from 50+ in his career.
Only 12 - 50+ yard attempts in his first 6 years.......

37 of 42 in the last 4 years + one game.

Oddly, he has never attempted a 50+ yarder in the playoffs.......

Then again, the Steelers, plating from way behind, were not in many situation that a FG would help.

Alot of these guys are kicking it regularly from 50+ Its the norm.

Cowboys Aubrey is 25 for 28 from 50+ in 2 years + one game.

Boz is 72-77 on all FGS last 2 years + one game.
35 Games.
I want to remember....his misses the last 2 years are a few blocks an attempt or two in brutal conditions?
Geez he is money.

And speaking of his lack of 50 yard attempts in the playoffs..........he makes up for that, as

He is 17-17 in the playoffs.

Said the same thing. They left a ton of time on the clock. They're lucky NJY don't have a competent passing QB who can carve up prevent defense.

Lost in all this; how does one analyze this?

How can you have the balls to kick a 60 yard FG to essentially win the game, but conversely not have the balls to go for it on 4th and 4 to get the FG into the 50ish range with that amount of time remaining?

Statistics are completely lopsided on this one.

It makes zero sense.

the stat comparison is not odds of 4th conversion v 60 yd FG

the stat comparison is odds of 4th conversion combined with shorter but still pretty long FG factoring additional odds of turnover after success v 60 yd FG

so what Tomlin did make perfect sense

if a 55 yd FG was 100 pct automatic and the additional play had no turnover risk after gaining four yards you would have a point

All the kickers are booming it with the new kick ball prep rules
Tomlin PC 1/14/25 -“‘Stuck’ is a helpless feeling. I don’t feel helpless,” Tomlin said. “I don’t know if I want to sell you an overly optimistic (tone) either.

Bos > balls

For those who do not recall what they learned in 4th grade math, that reads 'Bos is greater than balls.'

Just look how happy he is just standing next to him at camp. Giddy.
While Boz seems content.
