If you’re watching the Colts game you know why AD Mitchell might be available

Maybeee....cuz none of the other three on the roster seem to bring it. Maybe Roman Wilson, after recovering the onside, steps the fuck up.

I still hate that Pickens trade.

Pickens is an asshole and showed it last week.

George would be insufferable playing across from a dude that got $150 million, knowing his mentally ill ass isn't getting paid.

Besides, CAIII and Pickens' numbers have been pretty much identical. No thanks to Pickens.

I think the loser of the Jets/Dolphins game tomorrow night will be 0-4 and those teams are going to start fire sales.

Why?

There's not a position more useless in professional sports than the #2 WR in an Arthur Smith offense.

If we traded for anyone worth a damn I'd worry they might off themselves before suiting up for a game.

Yes, KC, but when last seen, CA III was being loaded into an Irish ambulance. I posted last week that we have a #2 wide, don't have a #3 wide. And now, we may be wanting for a #2.

And yes, Pickens is an asshole, and not the same, but so was Antonio Brown.

The pointless #2 WR has 2 TD catches in 4 games including the game winner last week.

No dude.

Antonio Brown was insane, but I never, ever, not even once saw AB dog it.

Pickens dogged it a lot. If he knew the ball wasn't coming to him last season, he dogged it.

Dude dogged it on running plays too.

Do you think Pickens is downfield blocking for DK Metcalf on that incredible after catch run by DK?

Austin did just enough to allow DK to get to the goal line.

Pickens would not have given 2 fucks if Metcalf would have scored. He would have half-assed his way downfield.

Just watch what unfolds in Dallas in the coming weeks.

The Steelers #2, #3, #4 and #5, #6 wrs today had a combined 4 targets.
2 catches for 13 yards.
The HC is ok with this.
Metcalf better stay healthy..

Otherwise this scheme, philosophy, game plan, personal usage will blow up big time in their faces.

If Austin is out.....

Need to get Roman and the other guys involved.

If Austin is long term... they need to see who is still out there or go get someone

Maybe this is the break Roman needs, either he can get it done or he can't, but so far hard to judge his ability when he plays 6 snaps a game.

Pass catching TE in an Arthur Smith offense is right up there with WR2. This offense boils down to WR1, RB, two tackle eligibles, an occasional FB or rotational blocking WR2. They had 27/53 snaps, roughly half, where there were two actual WRs on the field. The team is averaging 4 ATTEMPTS per game to their WR 2 and 3 combined. That isn’t NFL offense.

I dont event think our TEs are any good. What the hell have Muth and Smith done through 4 weeks of football that is at all memorable?

They do this every season:

- wait until you see Roma Wilson!
- wait until you see our 3 TE sets!

I like Austin. I think he'll be a player for someone else, but he's barely used here as is so I don't see his loss as anything tremendous to overcome. You also have those three TE's you invested who have barely been used, so...

That said, Austin was on social media and said he's fine. We'll see how fine he actually is, but presumably it means he'll be back after the bye.

Our WR corps could have been bonkers but we traded Pickens for a sock full of pistachios.

He’s an incredible talent. He’ll have a few games like this (especially as the #1 while Lamb is out) for sure. Did in Pittsburgh, when he felt like balling out.

Last night was Dallas’s Super Bowl and they got a tie out of it.

Entertaining game though.

Pickens in what would have been his final year in Pittsburgh, definitely would have balled out all year. No cheap shot penalties, no pouting and screaming on the bench and no dogging it (which is coming in Dallas.)

With Pickens, the Steelers were definitely Super Bowl contenders….if he felt like it.

to be fair, Muth and Smith were TE4 and TE5 yesterday based on snapcount, behind Darnell, Spencer Anderson, and Heyward. Do you really expect a ton of production out of TE #5?

And 3 TE sets were certainly all over the place.

You need to get better at detecting sarcasm, although it is difficult to detect when written.

The Steelers aren’t Super Bowl contenders and arguably would be worse than they are right now with Pickens.

Anybody that watched the dude dog it and play when he felt like it last season realizes that.

Dude will show his true colors soon enough.

On an interception, Pickens trotted off the field while watching an opposing player run by him with the ball. He's not a football player.

Pickens is a lot like Highsmith.

Every once in awhile, they'll wow you with some amazing play.

.....but they are few and far between.

Difference is, Pickens will play hurt and Highsmith doesn't.

Pickens will also dog it and Highsmith won't.

Hard to get snaps when Jibba Jabber bends over backwards ensuring that useless Connor Heyward plays offense.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 82 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.
