Dugger traded and then Pats raid Miami’s practice squad for safety. That is how you get speed when you don’t draft it in the first place.

Although I am beginning to think the lack of perceived speed is attitude issues. Nobody want’s it badly enough or they are worried about hammies!

As we say in our Sunday football game: there are two kinds of people those who can play safety and those who *think* they can play safety.

Tough position to play. I've been playing ball for 50+ years, I played CF in baseball, and I probably know the least about playing the safety position of anywhere in football. Playing deep middle is one thing; playing deeper than the deepest but still being able to make plays in front of you is hard.

Safety should be just about the easiest position on the field to fill. Particularly strong safety. The majority of that role is simply go out and be physical. Go hit someone and take them to the ground. Don't let the ball carrier get away.

Roman Wilson over 13.5 receiving yards is a solid option as well, Steelers gonna have to score lots of points tomorrow, and he seems to be developing some good rapport with Rodgers, apparently had his best practice before the Packer game and had another excellent practice on Wednesday...could be a player on the rise for the rest of the season.

You could be right, but as I pointed out on the podcast, he's had a couple of good gains on improv. I don't trust this OC's playcalling to come up with ways to scheme him open, which is what he needs to get open on anything where he's not simply outrunning leverage from a LB or slower safety.

Personally, I'm lining up in 2 TEs run-heavy sets and looking for Darnell Washington up the seam. Indy's probably going to load up for the run and DW is easy money if that's the case. However, with a banged-up Skowronek/Miller, Wilson should get lots of snaps in the run game when thye are in 2 WR sets.

A. No. We moved Jalen Ramsey exclusively to safety this week, to offset. Jalen has played outside corner, he's played nickel corner, he's played safety. Given the circumstances, we felt it was prudent to lock him down specifically at free safety, and so he'll be a constant hub of communication to assist all of those potential candidates who I mentioned in processing and playing.
