Can someone explain to me like I am in kindergarten what now is the difference for when the old one is used vs this new thing?
Seems like a controversy waiting to happen in like the playoffs or something
Divisional round
1st half coach of one team gets the benefit of not having to use a challenge and risk a timeout. 2nd half, game in the balance. Other team has no timeouts left so can't challenge. Obvious bad call happens. Old days. Sorry your SOL. You can't challenge. Now? Replay Assist comes into save the day.
Tomlin today benefited from it on the Colts dropped pass
Seems weird
Coaches Challenge vs the new "Replay Assist"

I think the intent is to fix obvious errors. That only take one or two quick peeks and they will chime in.
That's what I heard. If an obvious error can be fixed without looking at multiple angles, then replay assist will be leveraged.

Maybe they just need to scrap the challenge system.
