The Steelers don't need a traditional #2 receiver.
What they need is a #2 that could become a #1 if anything happens to DK Metcalf.
The only guy who might be available who fits that bill is Jaylen Waddle and he's probably too expensive.
A traditional #2 would be wasted in this offense.
Shocked we didn't add Lazard though.

Wrong.The Steelers don't need a traditional #2 receiver
The Steelers absolutely need a #2 WR. They are just too dumb to recognize that and have an OC that (1) will run an offense Jibbs signs off on and (2) utilizes all those TEs and extra offensive lineman.
The team wants to run the ball yet is so bad at it they can only do so when they have their huge TE on the field and still have to add a 6th offensive lineman.
Don’t mistake their own stupidity & stubbornness for lack of need.

Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 84 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.
Seems like a lot to give up when your QB is Daniel Jones.Stosh-67 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 6:19 pmSauce Gardner traded o Colts for 2 first rounders.

The Steelers aren't Super Bowl contenders this year and the offense isn't the problem.
The Steelers don't prioritize the #2 WR position. End of story.
They throw to DK Metcalf, the TE's, backs and once in awhile they'll throw a bone to CAIII, Roman and Skowronek.
That will not change if they add someone like Chris Olave or even Jaylen Waddle.
It just won't. That's not how Arthur Smith operates.
I almost hope they DO trade for a #2 so folks can watch the Mike Williams experiment happen all over again.

A genius move.
Sauce is good but he sure as fuck isn't worth 2 first rounders.

agree. bringing in another #2 will be another guy that gets lost in the mix, 1 target here or there.K_C_ wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 6:24 pmThe Steelers don't need a traditional #2 receiver.

Guys they do not know how to use.
This offense is so hard to watch and frustrating.
Waddle will cost at least a #2 pick
I would not give up more than a 3rd for for him or anyone,
as this team needs alot of players and draft capital.
This team is not going deep into the playoffs.
And not winning another significant game under Tomlin.
May as well keep adding draft picks until he is gone, and a new staff can at least have youth to develop

Can they have ( 2 ) tackle eligibles? Will we see this soon.
Can we lure the defense into having 9 or 10 in the box....
and then surprise them, catch them sucked in............... with a deep..........
handoff in the backfield for a gain of 1 yard into a pile.

i had CD lamb, Pickens and J. Williams going on my fantasy team last night....
Needed about 40 points to make up.
Came up 5 pts short.
Cowboys could not get off the field on defense....
and could not sustain drives on offense.
And bad Georgie appeared last night, fumble fighting for 3 mor yards.
And then the taunting.
He was running thru the motions on most plays second Q thru mid 4th.

The Jets are such a shitshow. Franchises like that are part of the reason Mediocre Mike stays employed. Beyond being able to get wins against their sorry asses they serve as a reminder to Art II that things can always be worse.
You just paid Sauce Gardner. He's all of 25 and a building block for the future. One of the top CB's in the league who probably still isn't maxed out. You traded him for two first round picks that you will squander, anyway. You are going to be drafting high so you don't need ammunition to move up for a QB or anything like that.
He's a blue chip player you are better off keeping.

would not be surprised if Jerruh is not done.........
After the embarrassing MNF performance.
Maxx Crosby?
Myles G?
BTW. He is 83 and starting to look every bit of it.
He does not have a team to win a SB right now.
His clock is ticking.
He will get desperate.
Stephen A was sitting next to him in his booth first quarter.........
Then politely excused himself before it got ugly.
LOL

Jones doesn't really care about winning, just headlines. Basically admitted as much though he tried to backtrack.
It would be incredibly funny to see them trade one of the top pass rushers in the league over a contract dispute just to trade for a guy to do the same thing who is on a similar contract.

the jets may well screw it up again -- but, I think what they are doing is the best approach.
That team stinks and they are many players/draft picks away from being good enough. Best to start with a plan and a core all together.
I am not sure Glenn is the right choice to lead that - my first impression is he is Not.
3 extra 1st and an extra 2nd isnt a bad start

and everyone around here should start believing their eyes and ears and not the fever dreams of hope or intentional deception
they have the team that they want -- they are playing the way that they want - it is not going to change
that isnt even a crappy comment from me --it just is -- right or wrong they told, and have showed, you what they want and they are not going to change the scheme
it is really is charlie brown first kick of fall around steeler country -- every day .. .with a twist .... they have told you ahead of time they are going to pull the ball away because they think you will just miss anyway. why dont you believe them?

Most importantly, the goal is not to build a championship team. It's to be "competitive" in each game, squeeze out enough rock-fight wins, and possibly back door their way into the playoffs, where it's a "crapshoot" to them.
Of course, they'll win one or two games a season, like the one this past Sunday, and some fans will get interested again, but in the end, they're just not a SB aspiring team and they don't value that like many of us fans.
I just emailed the front office with my formal request to be traded to a team with ownership that cares to win a championship and has a coach that isn’t a complete fraud.
I’ll pay my own relocation expenses which may hopefully expedite the process.
