Further evidence that the chronic discipline and self control issues with the Steelers come from Mike Tomlin.
When asked today what advice he has for a player who has been spit on was “Do what comes natural”. In other words, start a fight, take a 15 yard penalty, get thrown out of the game and hurt your team.
I said it in another thread, a good NFL coach would be showing tape of the moronic penalties taken by Jameson Williams, George Pickens, Jalen Ramsey and Ja’Marr Chase and preemptively scolding his team about selfish dumb shit that hurts the team. Tomlin instead vindicates bad behavior. That’s why he has chronic issues with penalties and WRs acting up and why his son is a ghetto asshole despite being raised in a wealthy suburb with all the affluence that 99.9% of the world wished they could have.

This one made me laugh, perch!! I guess I'll have to check out the Dino Tomlin OP. I haven't done so yet.Steelperch wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 7:20 pmFurther evidence that the chronic discipline and self control issues with the Steelers come from Mike Tomlin.

And yeah, on Sunday, because I obviously continue to still root for my team to win, I was motherfucking Jalen Ramsey when he got his ass tossed out of the game further depleting a secondary that was already hurting, wondering aloud why we continue to sign these dumb fucks, both big free agent, signings, have been dumb fucks as far as unnecessary penalties.
And honestly, to make it worse post game he's saying… When it comes to this fuck football, respectfully… Or some bullshit like that meaning we should expect him to act the exact same way if it should happen again, again jeopardizing his team's chances to win
I feel I've been on the Tomlin hate train since about the Tebow debacle.Steelperch wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 7:20 pmFurther evidence that the chronic discipline and self control issues with the Steelers come from Mike Tomlin.

But I have no issue with this particular explanation. It was an emotional reaction by Ramsey but understandable reaction from Ramsey. People saying they could control themselves after being spat on are bullshitting. There's a game going on and your adrenaline is pumping and you get tangled up with someone, you're gonna do something you regret (punching your opponent). Shit, I got tossed in my hockey game on Sunday morning and I play goalie.
This wasn't a guy taunting or dancing on logos. He got spit on. I'm fine with throwing the punch.
