Former Steelers legends and the talking heads finally waking up. Fire Tomlin chants in the stadium. Then someone started a petition. Probably doesn't mean much but the combination of all that's being said and done hopefully gets to the Rooneys enough for them to make a change.

The Issue
We, the undersigned members of Steelers Nation, respectfully call for the retirement of Head Coach Mike Tomlin.
For nearly two decades, Coach Tomlin has led the Pittsburgh Steelers with consistency and stability. However, in recent years, the franchise has experienced repeated stagnation, predictable shortcomings, and a failure to progress in the postseason. Despite talented rosters and passionate fan support, the team has remained stuck in the same cycle of underperformance with no meaningful change in direction.
This petition is not built on disrespect, but on the belief that the Steelers deserve a fresh start—new leadership, new vision, and renewed commitment to excellence. After 20 years at the helm, we believe it is time for Coach Tomlin to step aside and allow the organization to move forward.
We thank Coach Tomlin for his years of service, but for the future of the franchise we love, we call for his retirement from the position of Head Coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Reitrement I can get behind. I want compensation when he inevitably turns up somewhere else in the league. It'll be his biggest contribution to the Steelers in years.

He would be smart to go to tv and off the sidelines. He’s overmatched
Tomlin PC 1/14/25 -“‘Stuck’ is a helpless feeling. I don’t feel helpless,” Tomlin said. “I don’t know if I want to sell you an overly optimistic (tone) either.

I can see a team offering a pick to come back after he retires and the morons declining the pick "in respect to Mike Tomlin's accomplishments" or some dumb shit like that. I may be overly pessimistic when it comes to this topic though

Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 88 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.
