How much are you going to enjoy not winning a playoff game for over a decade? Or getting your shit pushed in by the Bills on wildcard weekend?

The more you enjoyed the game the more infuriated one should become, because there is absolutely no excuse for being .500 except for lethargic uninspired coaching and playing.

So sad....so scared about getting routed in a playoff game that you'd rather not play.

Swiss, I saw you pound your chest over 4 SB titles in the 70’s, but not the 13 non-losing seasons from that era. Why do you hate seeing the team win Super Bowls now? Sad.

I hope the Steelers do host a playoff game against the Bills. I'm sure the Steelers will embrace the rematch and rise to the challenge.

Stupid fuckin answer. The team isn’t doing anything at all to get themselves back to a spot to compete for a title, and you cheer their new approach to attain mediocrity. As long as fans are satisfied with meaningless regular season wins, prime time games, and playing renegade, they will continue to field a mediocre product. You’re the problem.

For me, it's like watching Lucy being the placeholder for Charlie Brown. Except I'm smarter than Charlie Brown so I don't get wrapped into the games near as much as before.

Look at today. The Steelers had atleast 3 critical calls go their way and they still almost blew an 11 point 2nd half lead. Outgained by over 100 yards again. Outrushed by almost 200 yards. I will never root for the Steelers to lose, but I'm nowhere near as excited for a Steeler win, ugly as it is, because it just drags Tomlin's employment further along.

Yes, Tomlin is leaving when he decides to leave. There is no changing that. But short term embarrassments WILL accelerate things.

I've actually come to really enjoy hoping for bad things to happen to the Steelers or at least Mike Tomlin. The way you enjoyed Belichick's press conferences following a Pats loss? I get the same sort of joy hate watching Tomlin spit out his bullshit cliches and dumb shit responses like, "Keep watching!"

When NHALS finally comes to an end, I'll jizz in my pants spontaneously. Maybe multiple times.

When Tomlin is FINALLY canned or forced out and damn near every Steelers fan sees him for the fraud that he is? God, I can't even say how good it will feel.

And the final stage, my new Super Bowl? When Tomlin goes to some bottom feeder and proceeds to fail as he would have had he not inherited a top 3 best run franchise in the league at the time.

There's genuinely nothing likeable about this version of the Steelers. Nothing. They take after their entitled, pompous head coach in every facet. I liked watching Watt play up until some point last year and now I even hate him. Just stealing a god damn paycheck every week like his head coach. You are rooting for laundry and geography, Swiss.

I first latched onto the Steelers because I liked how they played. Can anyone with a straight face look me in the eyes and tell me that there's anything at all enjoyable about watching this version of the Steelers play the sport?

Since when is cheering for your favorite team to win controversial or mentally wrong?

This makes no sense. If anything those that root for losses are conflicted. It's one thing to hope for change but to undermine your favorite team is bizarre.

You mean the Andy Ried that instead of kicking a FG and going up 13 to 10, went for it on 4th and didn't make it. Allowing the Texans to go up 17 to 10. That Andy Ried or the SB Andy Ried?

Some of us are tired of being the literal definition of insanity. Some of us place SB contender over just being average. Then there's the participation trophy crowd...
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

I latched onto the Steelers cuz I was born and grew up in Pittsburgh and rooted for Pittsburgh teams. So yes, I root for laundry and geography, and there's no need for me to find the players eminently likable. I've said before that I would like to like Tomlin....but don't. I like Rodgers, I like Ramsey, I like Warren...and many others as well. But mostly, I like the Pittsburgh Steelers, my hometown team.

I am actually semi annoyed day won

Not just because the best path to getting rid of Tomlin is a streak of L’s

But also because they should’ve lost

The penalty on the Boswell field goal attempt that gave them a first down was pretty bogus

The The New York review Crew overturning the ravens touchdown to give them the lead was blatantly bad

The Aaron Rodgers, catching of his batted pass was pretty freaking suspect as well

So at the end of the day, the Steelers won as reflection of a bunch of fluke plays, and quite possibly manipulation by the league
I am lazy and I use voice to text far too often.

Please disregard any ridiculous grammatical or contextual errors.

I will strive to do better

I saw him do the "kiss hand wave" thing he does. Whatever it's called. And I thought back to several moments in the game and couldn't figure out what he was celebrating. A normal person would have been grateful to have come away with the win and perhaps even a bit sad for how it happened. Walking quietly off the field with head held in partial shame would have been more fitting.

Folks can want Tomlin gone and still want the Steelers to win every game they play.

I think part of it is the older you get (I'm 64), the less you worry about what will happen a decade from now.

Also, folks mention getting destroyed in the Wildcard Game and yeah, that's pretty much what I expect to happen again if the Steelers make it that far.

....and if that does happen, Tomlin will once again be under heavy fire from the fans and media. Either Rooney will make a move, Tomlin will hang 'em up and agree to a trade, he'll head up to the broadcast booth or Tomlin will stay on with even more mounting pressure on him to actually accomplish something outside of going 9-8.

Nothing anybody on these message board wants, cries and stomps their feet about.....wait for it....is gonna mean a goddamn fucking thing.

The NHALS is almost secured again. Accept it. They're gonna beat Miami. They'll either beat Cleveland or they'll beat Baltimore again. It's going to happen.

If Tomlin wants to hang around again next season, being blasted with more and more hatred from the fans and media for going 9-8 in 2026, then there isn't shit that anybody here (me included) can or will be able to do about it.

Like Swiss, I'm rooting hard for them to win every game. End of story.

Other folks can root for losses, bitch and moan and cry or whatever, and all of it won't mean shit.

I hope that helps.

I now see Tomlin's existence as his quest to keep control of the kingdom and to send shots to his detractors with his Tomlinisms and hand gestures. He's going to dig his heels in and this is a problem for Rooney(s) to figure out come end of the year.
