Post by swissvale72 » Thu Dec 18, 2025 10:34 pm

Not particularly encouraging.

No one ruled OUT yet, but plenty are questionable and DNP so far

Those are....Frazier, Herbig, TJ, Pierre, peppers (illness), seomalo

Honestly, this is not a game I expect the Steelers to win.

Don't rush any important players out there and save them for the Browns and Ravens.

Makes my score game prediction pretty easy

With Aaron Rodgers playing the way he has the past 2 games, no reason to count the Steelers out of any game. He's been on point.

We’ve struggled with the best QB’s in the NFC North and Goff is probably the best of the bunch. Detroit is a very desperate team and they’re at home, and they play like it’s a track meet at home.

Can the Steelers win this game? Sure but a whole lot of shit is going to need to go Pittsburgh’s way.

They crushed them!

Goff has been the worst version of himself in games against Pittsburgh. Only 2 games played, but he's never been responsible for a TD and has a skimpy 5.41 YPA facing the Steelers.

It'll be good to get the first-round pick back into the DL rotation. Pittsburgh's run defense has been much better with him in the lineup. This should also be an excellent game for Jack Sawyer to test his mettle as a run defender. If the Steelers can slow the Lions' run game and force Goff into uncomfortable situations, they've got a real shot.

It doesn't matter, the Lions offense is going to light us up.

Too much speed and too many weapons. They are 100% dropping 30+ on us.
In their current state, I hate everything about this organization.

The Lions are what the Steelers pretend they want to be

This is going to get ugly for the Steelers. I'm talking a 20 point plus margin

B bu but but haven’t you been reading all those puff piece articles bout how the defense had a heart to heart kumbaya moment and fixed all their problems?

Shit like that has become standard for Jibba’s teams.

They flop around for most of the season then circle the wagons and claim they’ve fixed it.

After they get blown out in the playoffs they again say they had communication issues they need to fix and will say how they’ll be better prepared next year.

Rinse repeat.

The football coach who is never satisfied and always berating his players to be better even in victory is a cliche.

The defense right now is doing what this team always does and falling in love with the smell of their own farts again. They beat a bad and demoralized Dolphins team that quit half way through the game and squeaked by Baltimore with heavy aid from the refs.

They allowed over 200 yards rushing against Baltimore and were fortunate to only allow 22 points.

What did Tomlin do after the game? I guarantee he didn't drill it into the defense that the run defense was still unacceptable. You wouldn't have players after the game thumping their chests about how they proved they can shut down Baltimore and how they got revenge of some kind for last year's playoff disaster like idiots. Then crowing even more the week after for what happened against Miami.

I'm not the ultimate Leader Of Men that Tomlin is supposed to be, but the defense is once again believing their own press clippings and will be embarrassed by a far better football team in the Detroit.

When will "they" determine if the game time changes?
On the schedule I have it shows a 4:25 start but subject to flexible scheduling.
NHALS secured. Check.
In the playoffs. Check
AFCN Champions. Check
Beat the Texans. In progress

I thought there was like a Wed deadline where gametimes become official?

Yeah it probably won't change this late. I haven't heard anything. The last game of the season is still TBD. So I guess it can be a SAT or SUN game.

Frazier is a must have for this game. Would not want to lose another OL component as well as that unit has been playing and developing.

Would be great to get Seumalo and Herbig back and up to speed ASAP. Both have been impact players this season.

I think the only way we win this Lions game is to let ARod sling it. That means he's going to need at least two WRs out there. Not sure Arthur can manage that.
