that punch missed deliberately and was a warning shot
wtf is wrong with people thinking they can talk shit to someone so obviously able to destroy them with ease
and yeah DK was stupid for taking the bait
but he did teach the guy a lesson his absent father failed to teach him

The fan is named Ryan Kennedy and would not disclose what he said to rile him up but admitted that he intended to provoke an attack.

They’ll make an example of DK.
DK could have went to the refs or security and told them what the dude said and could have had him tossed.

Just an FYI.. I ran across this on ProFootballTalk…
The league declined to level punishment in a different incident between a fan and players this season. In September, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson shoved a Buffalo Bills fan who had hit the helmet of Jackson and a teammate

If your comments would illicit a physical response in a “normal” circumstance- don’t expect any different
I completely agree metcalf should not have engaged the fan

Suppose it was something along the lines of

League would be more interesting if they let one fan fight a player after every game and televised it. You can fight your own team or the other teams player.

It doesn't matter what the fan said. Only if you fear for your life. And NO, DK was not fearing for his life.

I'm sure the coaching staff have been coming down hard on that fool this evening. He let his team down. He won't be available for at least the rest of the regular season.
I figure the fact that he didn't hit him very hard is what keeps this from being a year-long or lifelong suspension.

why is it we think he will be suspended when the precedent with league is fine only? also lamar jackson shoved a fan a few weeks ago and got no disclipine..now i assume the fan being physical in that case is why jackson got nothing but if the precedent is a fine ..or nothing, why do we think DK will get suspended? the fan has admitted he was trying to draw a reaction. and DK fid not contact the fan noe ofc, dk is dumb af for falling for it but it should only cost him money if thats the precedent as reported

Ocho Cinco is claiming that Metcalf told him the fan called him the N-word and his Mom the c-word. This will be a mitigating factor in the world we live in if that is indeed Metcalf's story. And true or not it probably will be. I believe the guy said something inflammatory to get that reaction.
Fan claims he just called him by his full name which unless there's some weird hang-up I've never seen reported sounds like bullshit.
My issue isn't that Metcalf allowed himself to be 'baited and responded. My main issue which none of you assclowns commented on is the fact that he was anywhere near the fan to allow the shit talking in the first place. This was while the defense was on the field, wasn't it? Echols was hurt. Metcalf had to walk over from the sideline to this fan to even allow him to say dumb shit to antagonize him.
There was no reason at all for Metcalf to even be engaged with that fan. The fact that he walked over to interact with him and then swung is why he's getting a suspension.
Probably a game against the Browns. So no real impact.

Why should a little taunting and name calling be an excuse for bad behavior? Fan steps out of line then report the guy to security.
It's a road game, unruly fans should be an expectation. Have some self control.
Looks like a case of roid rage, wouldn't be surprised if he gets called in for a piss test.
And he put it on film for opponents to see how easy it is to get into his head.
