Shout out to @swissvale72 who I'm sure will be the first to post in this thread. I'm not sure you faith is entirely logical or deserved by the team, but... here we are.

I don’t really think he played all that well but when given the chance (unblocked or off target passes) he made a couple of plays… so kudos to him.swissvale72 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 24, 2025 8:35 pmThanks for the shout out Wil... As for the discussion of whether Steelers rest guys if browns game is meaningless, this was a topic w Mike McCarthy on McAfee today (who's from the 15217 zip code, I'm from 15218) and McCarthy talked about "calling home" during the game last Sunday, his mom was cooking, and everyone was watching the game all excited. It was like old times he said. He's rooting for the Steelers.
Anyway, he reminded that packers were 15-1 in 2011, rested guys, then had a first round bye and lost to the giants at Lambeau. He said no way Rodgers, with his penchant for history...always citing past games; let's that happen

*IF* the Steelers beat Cleveland and the final home has no bearing on hats and t-shirts, then Rodgers is the only guy I'd consider allowing a paid week off.
There is so much going right the past few weeks, risking the continuity the individual units have is a bigger risk than losing someone to a football play to me.
Cannot allow a repeat of Cleveland 2020 in anyway. That playoff team got down 28-0 in the 1Q after some of the key veterans were vacant from their jobs the final week.
If they clearly secure victory before the final gun, then it's fine to play some players who are not otherwise usually on the field. But the Steelers have to WIN, and cannot put slop n slather on tape for the sake of avoiding the game of football.
