Darnell Washington- Broken Arm

Post by rooneytunes » Sun Dec 28, 2025 9:09 pm

Guess we will have to savor that 18-16 KC Divisional win from 2016 for another year.

Ouch.

One of the only guys on the team I like.

Crucial loss on two fronts.

Oline prowess and pass catching RAC threat…

Hey at least we didn’t have to rest our players.

Maybe if Darnell lost some weight he could turn upfield faster than a tanker and not have 4 guys gang tackling him. I still have a big problem with a 300lb TE. He'd be so much better at 270-275.

He’ll be fine by the time they play another meaningful game in September 2026.

B, bu, but he won’t block as good. And this team can’t run without their 300 lb TE and an extra OT heavy package.

You championed that thought process through our thread back n forth

Seems Tomlin always cashes those checks before the money is in the bank KC

No. Fans here wanted to see the Ravens win and the Steelers to lose yesterday to force this showdown.

That’s how it worked out but the Steelers are literally a DEPLETED team. Top 2 WR’s? OUT. Top TE? OUT. Tons of other injuries in the secondary, OLB and at o-line, and now…..wait for it…..Mike Tomlin has a ready made excuse that will keep him in Pittsburgh after this year and no media will call him out.

Because of DK’s stupidity and Outlier’s broken arm, it will take a Herculean effort to beat Baltimore Sunday night.

…and if the Steelers lose, Tomlin will receive no shit for it, because of injuries. You’ll see.

I know how this has worked

Built in excuse for every wasted season

Draft poorly. Bad evaluations, out of touch owner who has turned into a total buffoon, yes men coaches to prop up a DEI hire that had kind of doomed the franchise as he’s been allowed to take power and ruin everything he touches

Yea player evaluations and FA signings that are desperate

A once proud franchise forcing its fans to eat a shit sandwich year after year.

But let’s not boo and chant

We will hurt some peoples feelings

there is thought to that....some more speed and quickness and maybe he is shedding one guy or two.......
it has been a group of tacklers the last two weeks or so.....
and you can see it catching up to him.....as some of the bull was losing its steam and he was resorting to going down with a head first lean, rather than shedding......
you can see it coming...the helmets driving into his arms and mid section.

hope its a fast recovery

His combine definitely showed that ability, actually being what looked like his listed weight then.
Finally retired: 31DEC25

It took this staff 2.5 years to properly utilize this guy. Just shows you how pathetic these offensive coaches are

He's been blocking his ass off for two years. Believe me, blocking big dudes is way harder on your body than catching a pass and getting tackled by three guys. I thin this is the offseason where you either decide he's going to be your LT of the future or your featured TE. This halfway in, halfway out thing for him is less effective than it could be.

Let's remember, he ran 4.64 at 6'7" 272 lbs, with a 4.08 shuttle. Get out! Are you stupid??!! Are you Mad??!! That could be poetry if managed correctly.

I'm not saying the dude could be Antonio Gates, but they certainly should be featuring Washington just like that
