You're right, "Tomlin isn't perfect." In actuality, he's probably a very good man, a loving husband and an excellent father to his kids. He's also a "player's coach" and a lousy game manager, not a good judgement of talent, bad decision maker on and off the field (e.g., which players he keeps, signs, releases). And he's awful at game planning and play calling. Honestly, it would be great but no way EMR is going to pull this off. He probably looked at the story and shook his head no. Tomlin already has a pass this year because Ben is out. EMR probably is looking at what has happened the past few loses(close games) and thinks Tomlin is doing a great job.
