Bring the Yinzer home

Post by R_S » Sat Jan 03, 2026 1:33 am

Im not usually one to think about far fetched ideas, like "sign Ben to be the OC" or " give Aaron an extension with the agreement he becomes a QB coach the next year"

I've read some real dumb shit on this esteemed site.

BUT. Could the universe be aligning?

We got a born and bred Yinzer who has pulled off one of the greatest coaching performances in the history of football the last two years and he is the favorite to bring home the 'chip. He is a STRATEGIST not a dumbass philosophist like Mike.

No matter what anyone says Mike's career in Pittsburgh is coming to an end sooner than later.

There probably aren't many jobs that could pull him away from Indiana but coming home to Western PA to close out an incredible career could maybe be the only thing.

Bring Cig Home!!!

Cignetti isn't going anywhere, and is probably uniquely suited to coach college kids.

No guarantee he'd translate to the NFL.

This guy would take a $13 million dollar buyout per Florio. Then you'd have to pay him even more than that and there'd probably be competition driving that price up.

Aint no way Art II is opening his wallet for that.

If Dumb dumb Rooney actually parts ways with Jibbs you can guarantee two things at a minimum with a third having a high probability.

1) Coach will be in their 30s

2) Coach will be former DC.

3) Coach will be black.

Now if Jibba gets another extension you might be able to add a 4th.

4) Coach could be a woman.
