James Harrison claims...

That he told Tomlin Belichick was a better coach than him in 2013 and that Tomlin got bitchy and responded that Lamar Woodley was a "smarter" player than him.
I laughed.

In this case, I believe he had a screenshot of the actual texts.
We did say that once Tomlin's tenure was over, the truth about certain things might start coming out.
It was obvious something happened between the two of them.

Harrison is entitled to his opinion, but he consistently comes across as a bitter, aloof dumbass.

Harrison may be bitter and aloof...but he's not wrong in his critique. Zero coaching tree...8-12 playoff record....7 consecutive playoff losses (where he was down by 21 or more at one point). That's not HOF worthy.

Once Arians and LeBeau were gone, (13 seasons ago) he won 3 playoff games- and those were with Haley as OC.

And those 3 came against Matt Moore, AJ McCarron (the Burfict meltdown game), and the 6 FG beauty against the Chiefs. It's just staggering to think about that level of playoff ineptitude.

Sidenote, I’m not saying it’s true. I have zero clue if there’s any truth to it but I keep seeing rumors about Tomlin getting a bartender knocked up and paying her hush money.

People claiming Harrison is just bitter weren't paying attention. Harrison did an interview before the SB against GB, and was asked about Cowher. He absolutely LIT UP, credited him for making him the player he is today. When asked about Tomlin it was considerably more reserved, along the lines of "good guy to play for".
This isn't Harrison grinding an axe. He knew Tomlin was checkers player.

We all knew it, some wouldn't agree to how and where his ending would come

This. Harrison always spoke his mind and his mind didn't really seem to change much over the years. Maybe intensified at most as he felt Tomlin dicked around with him towards the end but that's about it. The Belichick story is from 2013.

If Harrison had more good things to say about Cowher than about Tomlin, that's surprising to me. Cowher was the head coach for the first 5 years of Harrison's career, and Harrison was a backup that entire time. Then Tomlin took over, and suddenly Harrison was an All-Pro. He was DPOY in Tomlin's second season.
Cowher did have Joey Porter Sr playing OLB for him, and JP departed during the same offseason that Cowher left. So JP Sr never played for Tomlin's team, and Harrison immediately became a starter, and a superstar. But couldn't Cowher have put Porter and Harrison on different sides, and had them both starting?

Purely from a football standpoint Mike Tomlin is probably as average as it gets.
2008 was Lebeau, Arians, Ben, and that defense. Tomlin was too young to have his ego kick in and screw it up. That was his primary "contribution", and some youthful energy (highly overrated)
