Seattle Dark Side v Steel Curtain

Much is being made this morning about Seattle having shut out the Patriots through 3/4, the first time that happened in the Super Bowl since the 1974 Steelers. Let's remember though that in Super Bowl nine the only Viking points coming in was a touchdown off a block punt the Steeler defense gave up nothing. Now that game 51 years ago, proceeded a number of your ass hats having been born, but it was an awesome fucking Super Bowl in my estimation only exceeded by Super Bowl 43

Zo has some Tomlin in him...on the radio, streamed to Boston cable, every day, wearing shades inside for 4 hours. His on-air partner is a fat guy named Beetle.

Let's also remember that the Steelers held the Vikings to 14 rushing yards, 119 total yards for the whole game, all against a hall of fame qb and top 5 Offense. Drake Maye fucking sucks

I haven’t listen to that local
Sports radio there for some time.

I rarely tune into that station, but when I do, it's the afternoon crew of Felgar and mazz... Primarily to take in their negativity. For instance, they spent quite a bit of time on a factor in both Belichick and craft not getting voted into the hall was because they're both giant dicks.

If you like negativity, you'd love WIP in Philly.

That’s exactly what I would expect them to say

and the Steelers scored a safety in that dominating game which is a feather in the cap of any Defensive victory

I think it, Super Bowl VII, and Super Bowl XXXV are the only three Super Bowls where the defense shut out the opposing offense.

Did I miss any others?

Drake Maye is no Fran Tarkenton. Long way to go for him.

Fran Tarkenton was a great QB and the Steelers success showed their great team speed to shut down the scramble.

There was a play in that Super Bowl where either Joe Greene or L.C. Greenwood batted a Tarkenton pass back to him. He then fired it down the field for a completion, but they called it back as you can't two forward passes on the same play. Therefore, it was a Tarkenton-to-Tarkenton completion for negative yardage.

There is no comparison to Seattle’s defense, which is excellent, to The Steel Curtain. The latter dominated the league for eight seasons, and resulted in rules changes. It has five members in the HOF, and should have a sixth. Jeez, Mel Blount looks like he could still play.
