They take a correct premise...that looks matter (a lot it turns out) and turn it into the idea that its the only thing that matters.

It’s typical minding. Looks matter in a mate to both men and women but they matter more to men. A potential mate being super competent matters to both men and women but it matters a lot more to women.

The problem both genders make is confusing what they want for what the opposite sex primarily wants in them.

Yeah if you're a guy who is too obsessed with beauty or a women obsessed by wealth, the joke's on you in the end.

This thread brings to mind the college professor's (can't remember his username) thread about how snazzy a dresser Shannon Sharpe was and then gave us his fashion tips.
