The Pittsburgh Steelers have some solid players on the roster, but they desperately lack playmakers. Like the kind you build your offense around... Troy Polamalu, Ryan Shazier, Rod Woodson, Jack Lambert...

This time around, with few gaping holes left after FA, & no chance of a QB, and many picks we could easily just sit tight at our spots and go BPA for 12 picks. But there was a chance to get a special player, one whose player comparison right now on NFL.com is my favorite player in the NFL and it's best on defense. If he can be anywhere near that good, the trade up is worth it. I think he's not only a special athlete, he is a top prospect who still has room to improve and grow.

And he plays a position in a way that has been a dead zone for the Steelers for a decade.
