Refresh my memory. Who were the Steeler’s gadget guys in the 70’s and why have we been looking for one the last few decades?

Well, I reject the premise of this argument. Heidenreich is a little closer to Kenny Gainwell or Christian McCaffery than he is a gadget guy. Navy runs a unique offense, obviously, but that doesn't mean he's a gadget guy. He is a quality RB, with good size, underrated blocking ability, and a slot receiver type route running nuance and receiving skills.

I’ll concede the premise may not strictly apply to this kid, however I’ll still assert the Steelers (because Tomlin?) have wasted way too much time and capital on gadget guys for way too long at the expense of actually building up a better roster.
