Pens vs Sabres 2-22-20

Post by fractalsteel » Sat Feb 22, 2020 3:54 pm

Game 60
Where has the season gone?

Potential Lines (based on Friday practice/projection)
Forwards:

Jason Zucker - Sidney Crosby - Dominik Simon

Dominik Kahun - Evgeni Malkin - Bryan Rust

Jared McCann- Andrew Agozzino -Patric Hornqvist

Brandon Tanev - Teddy Blueger - Sam Lafferty

Defense:

Jack Johnson/ Kris Letang

Marcus Pettersson / Justin Schultz

Juuso Riikola / Chad Ruhwedel

Possible starting goalie: Tristan Jarry

Expected scratches: Zach Aston-Reese (lower body injury), Anthony Angello (healthy), Zach Trotman (healthy)

Injured Reserve: Nick Bjugstad (core muscle surgery), Brian Dumoulin (ankle surgery)

—Kahun missed Friday practice and is officially a game time decision after blocking a shot in the knee area last game, but being as the lines weren’t jumbled in practice yesterday, we’ll assume he’ll be able to answer the bell.

Listening to the pregame one would think the Pens have no chance today.

Win the opening FO(going forward) and ten seconds later the puck is in your net.
Simple pass in your own end(Letang) and the Sabres pounce and its in your net.
A bad penalty(Malkin) seconds after the Sabres got away with a clear too many men on the ice. They do a good job the first minute killing the penalty then they leave Eichel all alone in his favorite spot and he cashes in. Where the fuck was someone in the shooting lane?

Since the end of the Leafs game on Tuesday the Pens have been outscored 9-0.
