Pens vs Canucks (11/24/21)

Post by Pabst » Wed Nov 24, 2021 3:00 pm

Pens are back home to take on Vancouver. The schedule gets chaotic over the next week, so let's see if the Pens can keep the momentum going. They'll be playing 4 games in 6 days starting Friday, with 3 on the road.

Tanner Pearson - Bo Horvat - Nils Hoglander
Vasily Podkolzin - JT Miller - Conor Garland
Jason Dickinson - Elias Pettersson - Brock Boeser
Tyler Motte - Juho Lammikko - Alex Chiasson

Oliver Ekman-Larsson / Tucker Poolman
Quinn Hughes / Travis Hamonic (?)
Kyle Burroughs / Tyler Myers

Thatcher Demko

The Canucks are.....weird. JT Miller and Conor Garland have been great this season. Bo Horvat and Elias Pettersson have not. Vancouver has dropped 6 of their last 7 (with the lone win being a game Demko stole), and the aforementioned Horvat and Pettersson have been ice cold.

Jake Guentzel - Sidney Crosby - Bryan Rust
Jason Zucker - Jeff Carter - Kasperi Kapanen
Zach Aston-Reese - Teddy Blueger - Brock McGinn
Danton Heinen - Evan Rodrigues - Dominik Simon

Brian Dumoulin / Kris Letang
Marcus Pettersson / John Marino
Mike Matheson / Chad Ruhwedel

Tristan Jarry

It's nice to finally see some consistency in the lineup. Guentzel has been on fire. Zucker broke through with a goal on Monday. Here's hoping Sid and Rust can net some goals tonight and get off the snide. The Pens are starting to round into form.

The Pens next three games (Canucks, Islanders, Canadiens) are all against offensively challenged teams. Here's hoping Jarry's hot streak continues as well.

I want to know why Crosby doesn't have any kids(sons) yet. Think about it, by now he should have fathered 2-3 sons of which one might carry on his exceptional hockey abilities. I get it that genetics doesn't guarantee much(except for hillbillies and yappy women) but wouldn't it be nice to know that there are a few little Crosby's running around right now, maybe in a few years taking over the ice like daddy did when he was but 5-6 years old?
Malkin gave us a son who seems by Geno's instagram to be a potential player. Kid is a madman with a hockey stick in his hands.

The NHL is full of father and sons that were all good and some great players.

Dear Sid,
please knock up your girlfriend and give us a potential prodigy.

thanx

Sid gets a pass from me until he hits 35. That's the age when I finally blessed the next generation with a potential prodigy in......bar trivia? Maybe Mario Kart.

On second thought yeah, someone needle some holes in Sid's condoms

Yeah, the two-headed monster on the ice.
Draisaitl already has 20 goals.

The Pens had a ceremony pre-game for Carter to celebrate him scoring 400 career NHL goals. What took them 5 weeks to make that happen?
