This team made huge mistakes in re-signing Jarry (I complained about it on this esteemed board and others) as well as its decision to keep the band together….so you get what you have now, which is basically an old timers game every night. None of the moves to add Karlson or anyone else has worked. Total shit….
Sooooo….Every game has to be looked at like it’s an exhibition in which you will get to see an All Time Great player in Crosby and 2 very good All Time Penguins and HoFer’s in Malkin and LeTang.
Don’t expect them to win….Don't get mad at the utter lack of defense and the shit goaltending…Blown leads and don’t dare count Ws & Ls …just watch the Big 3 play and enjoy the night at the rink or on the couch . That’s the only way to find enjoyment in this team

Haven't followed too closely this year, typically don't until Steelers are done. Heard this stat re: jarry thought that I found to be remarkable. NINE times this year, hes let in the first shot on goal ??
I feel like a saw a stat on Jarry that in 16 of 21 games he gave up a goal in the first five shots. Pens defense this year has been TERRIBLE but sometimes your keeper has to pick them up. Against the Kraken and Lightning this weekend, he gave up three goals on 17 shots in both games and they lost both. Anytime an NHL team holds an opponent under 20 shots you have to win.
