I'm very curious to see Patrick Graham's plan for utilizing the 15 strong safeties he has on the team, especially at slot CB and Free Safety.
I guess they are going to start with Brisker at FS and Ramsey at NCB but I'd bet a dollar they won't end the season that way. Brisker's instincts and mentality make him more suited to SS (he's very Deshaun Elliott in his game) and he's also missed time with injuries.
Regardless, LB is a bigger problem. Since they didn't draft anybody, Patrick Queen is now essential–I would have cut him or traded for a day 3 pick just because he's a fly in the ointment of almost any pairing or usage. Not quite good enough vs run and not quite good enough in coverage. If they were really convinced they could win it all, they would have brought in a true 3-down LB. And I'm not convinced they have a 2-down thumper, either so make it 2 LBs. And unless Roman Wilson is reborn at Lourdes or DK Metcalf starts playing like a WR1 that doesn't suck, WR also a need.
So, anyway:
QB
LB
FS
WR
LB
are first up
Day 3:
Then, your top EDGE guy spends another season showing signs that he's closer to the end than beginning, you not only have to pay Herbig, you have to draft another EDGE to be ready in 2028. And even though Heyward was great last year, with his age a pass-rushing 3-5 tech guy will be important for depth and the near future when Cam hangs em up because no one appreciates him. Would be nice to add a role-player TE... big WR type, functional move TE, or even great blocker.
