All Is Well
2T) Javonte Williams 5’11 220 RB North Carolina- Wow if there was ever a year to trade down. Urban Meyer. You’re my Huckleberry. I’m sticking to my belief the Steelers take a running back with their first pick.
2) Jayson Oweh 6’5 257 EDGE Penn St- Joey Porter pick. “Hey Mikey! Hey Mikey! My boy Peezy Jr. loves the cut of this Oweh kid’s jib!” Similar athletic profile to the departed Bud Dupree. And congrats to Bud. Nashville is one fun town to spend all that cash.
3T) Jabril Cox 6’4 233 LB LSU- Best coverage linebacker in the draft. Thanks Urban!
3) Josh Myers 6’5 315 OC Ohio St- Hey, I guess I can thank Urban again. I still like Quinn Meinerz a whole lot, but it’s back to the farm system in Columbus for our center of the future. Rodney Hudson was an interesting cut today, but if I woke up with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn’t be more surprised if the Steelers sign a meaningful free agent this offseaon.
4) Tommy Tremble 6’4 248 TE Notre Dame- “Again Drama?” Yes again. Johns Creek, GA’s own will be a versatile chess piece for a creative offensive coordinator (Nowhere to go but up, Coach Canada).
4C) Alim McNeil 6’2 320 DT North Carolina St- We lost Alualu too? Thanks again, Urban, ya barrel of monkey nuts. I typed stud DT Christian Barimore as my rd 1 pick, but I just couldn’t be that reactionary or be mocked for mocking one of my 'Bama guys. Sign a vet DT then draft a Feldman freak early day 3.
5T) Jaylon Moore 6’5 310 OT Western Michigan- Oh those lazy Steelers’ scouts. Back to the MAC and Chuks old stomping ground for a versatile, former TE capable of playing guard and tackle.
6.) Austin Watkins 6’1 210 WR UAB- Sammy’s cousin can play. Physical deep threat that will make an intriguing day 3 dart throw.
7.) Spencer Brown 6’0 230 RB UAB- “Again Drama?” Noooo. Different Spencer Brown, but same run people over mindset. This kid is big, powerful and highly productive bell cow for the Blazers Stud special teams addition for Danny Smiff. I can't sit through another year of Bennie Snail football. Hey no Alabama players but back to back UAB players. How do like them apples?
7T) Stone Forsythe 6’9 315 OT Florida- No Urban Myer didn’t recruit this Gator, but hard not to notice the size of Kyle Trask’s blindside protector. Kid can play and battle tested in SEC. Stately plainly. Zach Banner and Chuks the only tackles on the roster scares the shit out of me…and probably Ben as well.
Thanks as always for reading. Please comment on the players you like and those you don’t. Crazy opening couple days for our beloved Steelers. Losing Alualu the only thing that remotely surprised me. Steelers can literally draft any position in any round and it would fill a need.

I knew the minute I opened this Kevin Bacon would be featured.
Great draft, so many needs this year. Going to be wild.

Gorilla Warfare
That pick 24, said it before, kinda sucks... though recent defensive losses may present value there. Still like the strategy and several of the players. Good stuff!
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
I’d love it if you had OT Radunz in the 2nd.

Tomlin is gonna draft Peezy Jr in a couple of years.
Just got done watching Oweh tape ....meh, meh with a side of meh.
I saw a project. Albeit only a couple of games but really unimpressed.
The Bud comparison? Not seeing it, Bud was raw but showed strength and 1st step explosiveness I did not see from Oweh.

Oweh's football instincts are the problem. Late off the snap, stands straight up, late to recognize plays/play action... just delayed. Once he's in motion, he can show some good athleticism... but that's nearly as big a project as that discus thrower/rugby guy from England was for San Francisco.

Not to mention Oweh disappears for long stretches. I'm talking games.
