Good article on our first 3 picks. Would love a center and LT. A left guard in free agency as well would be even better.

Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

I gave it a roll. This early in the season, their player grades stink. Only did a 5 round draft

I traded down 2 times in the 1st to get the the 9th pick

My fear is that they draft Andre Carter. He does not fit what they currently do. So rather than use his talents they will try to make him play 2 gap rather than be a 3 tech. Thus a waste of talent

With their draft board so outdated, i guess you can challenge yourself to get a full draft of players that all eventually go in the 1st,

But it’s not really useful for getting any idea of what a steeler draft might look like, or what direction you might want to go in.

Which mock simulator do you think has the most up to date at the moment? I honestly don't know.

Quenton Johnson is not going in the top 5. Especially after the NCG

Looks like they’ve updated it a lot; is much better now.

Was just painful to use when guys like Tuli and Witherspoon had 3-digit rankings when in reality they might not fall to us at 17.

It's early, but JMS will end up going early 2nd. He's abusing defenders at the Senior Bowl practices.

Here is one that I targeted some players so do several trade backs to get as many top 150 picks as possible

1.17 - Cam Smith is on the board but the Jags offer 1.24 and 2.56. I figure the CB class is deep and take it

1.24 Devon Witherspoon CB Illinois

2.32 had 3 offers but they wanted me to move back further than I was comfortable

2.32 O'Cyrus Torrence OG Florida

2.49 traded back to 2.54 with the Chargers. Also picked up 5.158

2.54 Dallas came knocking and since I was picking 2 picks later I took the trade getting 2.58 and 4.129

2.56 from the Jags. Stayed put here as well.

2.56 Dawand Jones OT Ohio State

2.58 Ivan Pace Jr. LB Cincinnati

3.80 Stayed put although I could have moved back 2.

3.80 Mazi Smith DT Michigan

4.120 Dontayvion Wicks WR Virginia

Had to think about 4.129 a long time. but stayed put

4.129 Rashad Torrence II S Florida

5.158 Byron Young EDGE Tennessee

7.236 Karl Brooks DT Bowling Green
