I'm sure they'll get 10 years in prison just like J6ers who assaulted Capitol Police.

Nah, probably not.

We all remember where we were on N15, and I am sure Congress will get right on an investigation.

Sounds like the FBI is under funded. Maybe GOP should stop their defund crusade against federal law enforcement and fund it better so we have the man power to deal with what needs dealt.

Particularly amusing that โ€œHot Airโ€ tries to pass off a disjunct as exclusive that is not. Iโ€™d explain what the obvious false exclusive disjunct is, but donโ€™t want to deprive yโ€™all the fun of discovering it for yourselves.

That story, if true in the way it presented, is beyond disturbing, though. Very disturbing.

You could just as easily say they have the right amount of funding, but fucked up priorities.

I'd abolish the FBI altogether, though.

It's not just recent Lit, they've been bad for a long time. Read the MLK suicide letter:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FBI%E2%80 ... ide_letter

Watched BTTF last night and was reminded about how they fucked over John DeLorean in a pointless entrapment case that the jury rejected but it ruined the man completely.

Even when they get something right, they don't get it completely right, they were shown in a positive light in Killers of a Flower Moon but failed to investigate many of the unsolved deaths.

All law enforcement agencies have priorities and missions with finite resources and yes the FBI has clearly been distracted away from real terrorism by J6 and other overreactions like parents at school board meetings.

Iโ€™ll let you own that.

Still doesnโ€™t affect the false exclusive disjunct being tossed around.

The great thing about logic is that it is 100% objective.

I often fail, but thereโ€™s a reason I so often refer to it.

I might be biased.

You might be biased.

Logic is never biased.

The FBI has longe history of terrible shit.

I do know it.

Stillโ€ฆโ€ฆ.the notion that you can only focus on pedophiles OR only focus on J6 is a false exclusive disjunct.

Thatโ€™s not up for debate.

Donโ€™t tell me if youโ€™re not laying down you must be standing up when sitting down is right there in front of me.

Anyone who wants to argue that is going to get ignored because they wonโ€™t be worth engaging.

(Whether the FBI *should* be better funded is a different matter.)

I briefly thought about running for my local school board but I want nothing to do with crazed parents of any political persuasion who never once set foot in a classroom.

When you have finite service hours and limited resources you always have to prioritize. That is not up for debate.

We haven't even talked about the FBI lab which is a mess and responsible for many errant verdicts.

Recent FBI releases show that they were spying on Marla Maples in the 1990s regarding an affair with Michael Bolton.

Why is the government involved in that shit other than some guy in DC with a badge beating off to videos? Those resources could have been spent on the first WTC threat. Or Epstein's crimes which were actual felonies. Oh but, he got off in 2007 with the implication being that he knew too much about many people at the FBI itself.

Lit pops into the thread with:
Sounds like the FBI is under funded. Maybe GOP should stop their defund crusade against federal law enforcement and fund it better so we have the man power to deal with what needs dealt.

Also Lit:
(Whether the FBI *should* be better funded is a different matter.)

Ummm...what? Sounded like you were pretty damn sure it was underfunded, and that what was needed was more funding/manpower.

And how is that a separate issue from their history of malfeasance, corruption and criminality? That's the whole point of discussing not only budgeting, but whether the Bureau should even exist.

F.B.I

Famous But Incompetent

When I got out of the Marine Corps and finished college wasnโ€™t sure what I was going to do. Given military background I pursued the FBI and CIA.

Was actually pretty far along the FBI hiring process. Wife was against it but thatโ€™s why men are from mars and women from Venus.

Ended up getting hired at the firm Iโ€™m still with now so did not finish the process with FBI. Seeing how corrupt theyโ€™ve become Iโ€™m glad to not be associated with them.

Iโ€™m sure there are many great rank and file people who work there. But politics have ruined it. Canโ€™t have a biased agency.

CIA process did not go far because at the time they were only recruiting new agents that were already proficient in at least one but ideally multiple foreign languages.

Mandarin was big one they wanted at the time plus the middle eastern languages.

Did not have those so it pretty much stopped there.

My first interview with the CIA was interesting however. After having gone through the initial paperwork phase, I get a call randomly at like 4:00 am on a Sunday morning.

When I answered they simply said โ€œthis is Langley calling do you know what this is aboutโ€? And the interview proceeded from there.

An illegal Chinese biolab unearthed in California roused concerns last week when local officials and contractors reported finding pathogens labeled "HIV" and "Ebola" during a CDC-ordered waste eradication at the site. Now federal agencies face criticism that they "dropped the ball" on investigating how pervasive the threat could be nationwide.

It reads like a movie script and a horror movie script, when you detail all of those things that were missed," Rep. Ashley Hinson, a Republican from Iowa, said Sunday

Jia Bei Zhu, 62, who was behind the lab, was reportedly a Chinese citizen and a wanted fugitive from Canada.

"We want to know how he was able to obtain these pathogens. How is he able to get away with running a lab, getting millions of dollars sent to him from the Chinese Communist Party and then obviously coming into our country stealing American intellectual property?" she continued.

Last week, the House Select Committee on the Peopleโ€™s Republic of China (PRC) announced he allegedly had ties to the Chinese government. Authorities also reported Zhu had stolen millions of dollars worth of intellectual property and was part of an ongoing transnational criminal enterprise with ties to the PRC.

He was arrested in October, months after a code enforcement officer first raised eyebrows about a green garden hose sticking out of a hole at the location - a code violation that spawned further inspection with alarming results, including the discovery of thousands of vials containing biological substances and mice used for disease research.

Hinson, like others, is concerned that more could be hidden across the U.S., posing a threat to national security.

"The FBI and the CDC really dropped the ball here in terms of investigating not only this illegal lab, but now we wonder how many more labs like this exist in the country," she said.

Canโ€™t be too hard on the FBI here. Not able to work cases like this until you work through the stack of files on your desk that say such things like Sally Jones- complained about curriculum at PTA meeting. Possible domestic terrorist.

So the J6 videotapes are out for public viewing. Turns out the narrative was a complete lie and that almost all behaved like tourists visiting the Capitol. Also turns out that the FBI were the instigators. But Lit sez it was an insurrection and a coup and he is an academic so fuck your lying eyes.
