I kind of don't hate the Patriots anymore
I mean really. What can you do with this? I have hated them for so long yet they keep winning over and over year in and year out that the hate has just kind of turned into a "Jesus, they do it to everyone. They just do it. No matter what. When it comes down to it they win" type feeling. I guess it is respect. Not even sure that is the word for it. It's just a feeling of 'what can you do?". It's crazy. I mean I will be rooting for the Los St. Louisgeles Rams to win but when the Patriots pull it out at the end I dont think I will care anymore. Even with them getting to 6 I will have a like water is wet feeling. It is just expected. It's crazy.

It's kind of where I am, too. Well...I"m saying that, but I was ALL IN to the Eagles win over them last year, cheering as hard as I do for a Steelers game. When they're winning though, I harbor much less hate, I've taken the attitude that if my team isn't going to win, which they're not going to, then I really don't give a fuck.
I'm actually a Belichick fan. He's so far and away the best coach in the league. Edelman's a tough little sonofabitch. There's no one I really hate on that roster.

I hate guys like Jesse James more.
Tomlin more.
I hate fuck ups that masquerade as Steeler players and coaches MUCH, MUCH more.

Belichick has been head and shoulders above every other coach in the league. Plus he had an owner willing to do anything...an almost incestuous relationship with NFL top brass...and Ernie Adams.
Other teams can start embracing analytics all they want, but you need strong subject matter expertise to make full use of the analytics...that plus Adams’ eidetic memory puts it over the top.
McVay is supposed to be some sort of savant too...but as I see it, he’s got two strikes.
Seems to be overly conservative...that will kill him against Belichick.
He’s dumbed down the game for his young team...that will kill him against Belichick.
Only positives? They can get interior pressure, and they have a two-headed monster at running back (thanks for passing up CJ Anderson for The Fumbler, Tomlin you motherfucking dope!)

here, let me cancel your apathy..... remember Flutie gave this on field account of what he discovered with the Adams cheating. He was interviewed by radio sports guy Dan LeBatard (Tampa sports radio) now of BSPN
Flutie was asked this another time and he deflected, meaning the Foxboro Wiseguys got to him.
Thing is, it wasn't a rumor as reported in the quoted article. This is why Tom used to boast from the post game podium that "it's easy when you know the answers to the test" That interview transcript and video have been scrubbed from the internet over 5 years ago.
SO, I STILL say their first 3 SB wins are not legit. The other 2 I can give them credit.
O’Leary — suggests Patriots “director of football research” Ernie Adams, a prep-school chum of Belichick from Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass., was the nerve center behind the chicanery.
Offensive plays would be called based on stolen signals and the information relayed straight to Brady’s helmet, O’Leary theorizes.
In this scenario, the extra frequency is critical, as it allows the team to do something in real time with the stolen signals, out of earshot of the NFL monitor, and change its plays accordingly.
If there’s an open channel during the play itself, you can also alert the quarterback to open receivers he may not see.
O’Leary repeats a rumor that Pats backup quarterback Doug Flutie once said he accidentally picked up Brady’s helmet during the 2005 season.
“He was amazed that the coaches kept right on speaking to Brady past the 15-second cutoff, right up until the snap,” according to O’Leary.
“The voice in Tom Brady’s helmet was explaining the exact defense he was about to face.”

Same here, except I'd replace Jesse James with Xavier Grimble. JJ's fumble was like JuJu's fumble, a mistake that came from a desperation last effort move. Grimble's fumble was the result of pure showboating arrogance, putting yourself above the team and thinking that you're better than what you really are. The "X-Man" is the personification of late-stage Tomlinism.
Belichick would have cut Grimble before the game ended. Tomlin will have him back on the roster next year.

Once again I will point out the entire Flutie account was third-person hearsay by LeBatard...there's no evidence Flutie ever told anyone this.
And Tuohy himself lifted his story from a TRANSCRIPT of LeBatard's show.

Grimble's was even worse because the next time he touched the ball, he STILL had the ball in the wrong hand!

No it's not hearsay. Who is talking about Tuohy?
I will correct my statement. LeBatard replied to the story John Saunders told him. It was Flutie to Saunders, but Saunders was dead.
LeBatard phoned Flutie a few times to corroborate the story but he just hung up each time.

This is the definition of hearsay.

There's a lot of truth in this statement. It'd be one thing if the Steelers were simply a bad football team of limited talent. But whatever they've become is far worse. It's hard to stomach a team that has an historic regular season collapse followed by a spectacular off-season implosion. They've done much to temper my passion for the NFL. I barely care anymore. I was on the edge of my seat in the 49ers-Ravens Super Bowl hoping that the 49ers didn't get to 6. Last year I was pulling for the Eagles, but I was much more relaxed about it. This year, I'll almost be tempted to root for the Patriots just to rub the Steelers' nose in this shitty season.

Yes, yes it is.
That reminds me of Lionel Hutz, the discount lawyer on the Simpsons: "Hearsay and conjecture are kinds of evidence, aren't they?"

Exactly. I don't mind losing. That's not my gripe with this team. My gripe is that there are cracks in the team's foundation that are clear as day and the owner buries his head in the sand instead of taking real action. And it's not like this is new, this shit has been snowballing for 2-3 seasons so massive changes wouldn't have been unwarranted. This only signals to me another year (at least) of this shit show. I don't recall a time when a head coach had a locker room this dysfunctional and fixed the problem. What is expected next season? Tomlin comes back in the offseason as a disciplinarian? The players will see right through it.

The Steelers are now the Marvin Lewis era Bengals. It's disheartening to say the least.

Patriots use analytics and savants and alternate frequencies and sneaky cameras
Our coach tries to trip players with a camera on him
It's embarrassing and depressing

Indeed. Take it to owner's box: their owner sanctions all of it or it wouldn't exist as it achieves his goals. Our owner, whose father was Steeler GM when he and Noll built the greatest team in football history, who humbly gave all the credit and spotlight to his dad, has allowed the erosion of the principles put in place by his ancestors. Where's the pride, the Steeler vibe? Down the fucking toilet. If I owned the Steelers I'd pay whatever the fuck it cost to jam their frequency, I'd undermine them any fucking way I could. If Kraft is going to live by the all's fair in love, war & football than shove it up his ass. You think Art would have stood for this shit? He would have handled it his way. Fire with fire, as Chuck said, whatever it takes.
