Pro Bowl Picks
Guard David DeCastro, center Maurkice Pouncey, defensive tackle Cameron Heyward, outside linebacker T.J. Watt and free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick were chosen to represent the Steelers in voting compiled by fans, coaches and players.
My only questionable pick is Pouncey. All the bad snaps. The snapping is the run block tackle of a center’s job. And he missed two games.
DeCastro is the only player not starting.
Questionable any O lineman should be pro bowlers this year.

Had the same thoughts on Pouncey.

Pouncey has struggled all year in Pass Pro and his run blocking wasn't anything to brag about.
I laugh at some of the posters here who suggested that Heyward sucked for a good part of the early season. This might have been his best year and he didn't have Tuitt most of the season. Very deserving.
I thought Bud might get a nod.
Watt and Fitz were no brainers.
Hopefully none of them have a chance to play in the game.

Could be a blessing in disguise when it comes to his contract extension, though

I'm hoping so but the league took notice of him the past two years.
That said, I'd keep him over Gravedigger. With Bud gone OLB depth is a concern. Seems the staff likes Chick which is mind numbing and Adenyl sees the field so little. And who knows about Skipper except he can whip guys who aren't real NFL players.
Chick's salary jumps to $6m next season, so we'll see how much they like him then (fingers crossed)

Odd that we had almost as many pro bowlers on offense compared to defense when the D has carried the team.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 10:17 amQuestionable any O lineman should be pro bowlers this year.
Throw. The. Football. On. First. Down.
$6m is less than what they will have to pay Dupree. So they’ll act like they like him a whole lot after they let Dupree walk and that this was the plan all along.
I’m really hoping that is not the case. Chicky boy stinks. Mediocre jag
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 82 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

There is no universe wherein Chickillo is worth a bigger cap hit than 4/5 of this team's starting OL.
