CFB Championship

This is my first extended look at either team this year. Terrific matchup.

Clemson’s defensive gameplan is so good. I think the talent on LSU’s offense is considerably better than Clemson’s D, but the interior postsnap pressure looks and enough speed to make QB hold the ball is a wow.

Burrow taking that shot on the TD pass at the end of the half could be huge. He’s obviously playing with pain.

What a game. Both these QBs are going to be really good in the NFL.

If Ben is done, let’s roll Duck out there next season and go 2-14. No bullshit.

Sooo many momentum changes

Soooo much NFL talent on the field

Travis Etienne has phenomenal burst at the line of scrimmage

Jamar Chase is OMG good

Add Thad Moss to short list of TE targets for Steelers

Sooo pissed I have to get up for work tomorrow.

Joe Burrow...good lord he’s good.

Ball placement is perfect on almost every throw.

Question is; will the Bungles fuck this up?

Absolutely, that’s why they’re the Bungles.

How is THAT not a targeting call on Chaisson??? Crown of the helmet, right to the QB's helmet earhole.

Best offense in college football history? Perhaps.

Is Queen coming out to the draft #8 on LSU? He’s a bad man.

LSU is loaded. Congrats to our resident LSU fans. In a game full of future first round picks, I think the best player out there might be Derek Stingley Jr.

Stingley had a little bit of a rough go early, but definitely showed out as the game went on. Great three quarters of football, with LSU pulling away at the end.

Yeah, Drama, I'm with you. we waited 16 days, might as well have waited 20 and played it this Saturday before the conference championships on Sunday.

Actually the game should have been played LAST MONDAY
Ridiculous for them to drag this out another week, but sponsors gotta get paid, etc

Burrow is the best college QB I've ever seen as a finished product and this is the best year a QB has ever had in college. If this year were a round of golf, he shot a 61. I can't believe this guy rode pine at Ohio State. His accuracy on deep balls and pocket presence is ridiculous. Elway, Manning, Luck didn't even have that. He's at least another Mahomes and probably more. If Cincinnatti can keep him upright, look out.
The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently.

My comparison is Russell Wilson. Ignoring the height, they played very similar games.

When I am looking at CFB QB I look for accuracy, decision making ( quick and right) and arm strength. Elite QBs have all three. Just good ones have 2. Burrows has the accuracy and decision making. He does not have elite arm strength but it seems pretty good. Burrows also has experience in the pro offense so he know how to make reads and move through progressions.

Is he going to be elite? Not sure but he really looks like he has all the tools.

Perfect recipe...
Excellent, accurate, dual threat QB
Good all around RB
Deep, solid, versatile WRs/TEs group
Solid Oline
Great coaching, coordinating, game planning.
Attack, attack, attack.

That was fun to watch!

I also think that Clemson playing in the ACC has not helped their players as much. Higgins, who is a great talent, looked lost vs tight man and contact on the LOS.

This. I guess you have to be if your name is Queen. Let's ask Willie Gay.

You must have missed last year, where Burrow's accuracy wasn't all that great and, although he showed flashes of good play in crunch time, he certainly didn't look like this. I think you at least have to wonder if he'll need this kind of supporting cast to be this successful.

I would agree if he were just getting it close to the receivers and they were catching it. He was dropping dimes at times. Something clicked. Perhaps working with them for a year helped.

I think Burrow and Lawrence will both have a few problems as pros if they go to bad teams.....

Cincy is a tough gig. The Ravens and Steelers D twice a year. Weak organization.

I agree with accuracy/decision making/arm strength = tools to be great. I wonder if those 2 really have nfl arms ?

Unless you have rare "country strong" ability like Jackson running as a QB in the nfl is a bad idea.

One-year wonder, though. Always a tricky evaluation. He's not going to be surrounded with as much of a talent advantage as he had this year. I mean, never, ever.

Burrow has an effortless quality to his play.

Like I said much earlier this season, he reminds me more of a young Tom Brady than anybody I have ever seen.

Not saying he'll be Brady good, but this kid is fucking special.

Make no mistake about it.
