This site has gotten way too political for me
I have politics in my FB feed.....on the news, Twitter...
This site is supposed to be absent politics

I'm not justifying the politics, but you have to admit, the first five months of this year have been whacky. Further, as much as we don't like to admit it, dumpster and politics has permeated everything. A healthy dose of Covid 19, sprinkle in some racism and police brutality, and you have a recipe for disgust. The protests/ outrage are a manifestation of that disgust.
Whatever. . .

In all seriousness, pretty much everyone here and everywhere views every happening and news item through a political lens. I'd like it to not be a part of this discussion site and have policed it and or deleted it... ultimately it's up to all the users here to police yourselves–– or at least to not take the bait. And ignore if necessary.

The headline makes it seem like Roger was not supporting teams in the past to sign CK.
Also in the article it seems Roger is willing to work with CK within the NFL if not signed on a team.

Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

If the above wasn't exactly true prior to the tragic death of George Floyd, it is sure true now. People are still marching in the streets with no end in sight.

Tragic death? The guy is a POS scumbag. Any person who breaks into a woman's (black woman at that) house, puts a gun to her head and Pregnant stomach and then pistol whips here to steal drug money is NOT a good citizen. This loser is is addicted to Fentanyl & Meth. His choices will put him in direct path of the police. Now he should not have been killed, but I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it either. He's NOT a person the black community should be putting up as a martyr. Before you go on a rant that I'm racist I am Black, well half Black (Black/Dad White/Mother) and it's sickening that Floyd is being held up as some symbol of the Black community.
Let me let you in on how the Black community thinks. The Black community is the only community who lifts up criminals and puts them on a pedestal. Say my son goes to college in a different state, earns a Masters Degree. He then comes home, guess what he gets no party from the neighborhood and very little congratulations. But when Lil Leroy or Ray Ray comes home from the Joint after 10 years (from victimizing other Blacks in their community) they get a huge party, money, new clothes etc. etc. How screwed up is that. I've seen it first hand.
Now I'm a Conservative Republican who loves Trump (I'm 53 and seen my fair share of Presidents) and he is the best President IMO. He has done more for the Black community than any other president including that Idiot Obama. Black unemployment is the lowest it has ever been under any president. There is a movement in the Black community to remove the shackles of the Democratic party and join the Republican party (Larry Elder, Candace Owens, Brandon Tatum, Anthony Brian Logan & Conservative Twins all can be found on Youtube). I can tell you about the Horrors the Democratic party have done to the Black community. One is they continually perpetuate the racist slave mentality. Here's a lil secret the Black community hates to talk about. The slave trade did NOT happen because European Whites, Spanish & Muslims did NOT just go into Africa and just take Africans as slaves. The majority of the African Slaves were Sold by OTHER Male Africans. A kingdom would take over another kingdom/tribe, they would take the women as their own and Sell the males for Guns, Trinkets etc etc. So African Males sold other African Males as Slaves.

Edit: unless the point is that teams are require to take on mediocre players. But even then, unless the mandate is that all qbs be equally good, I don’t track the comparison. If CK is good enough to be on a roster, then so be it. If not, ok, too.

It doesn't matter who anybody speaks for. This is a FOOTBALL SITE. Go on whichever of the hundreds of available political sites suits your taste and spew it to everyone there. STOP DOING IT HERE. You're driving away posters.
I know it's the offseason, but at least TRY and act like responsible adults. B2B and several others volunteered tons of time and effort to build this platform to talk Pittsburgh Steelers football. Pretty disrespectful to just say a big fuck you to that and blatantly, repeatedly break the few rules set up for the good of the site.
Take it somewhere else.

I think he is confusing the holding up George Floyd's life vs holding up the police killing someone over a misdemeanor. There are better hills to die on for this like Breonna Taylor but policing needs to swing away from this. A lot of this will start with holding the police accountable. Then perhaps they can get away from this warrior mentality and do some policing.
On the football side, I think the Steelers are, at once the best and worst team for CK. Best in that they have Tomlin and a strong locker room. Worst in that they have Villanueva who should be lauded as a great human being and will get pulling into this even worst. I would support signing him if he is better than Duck or Paxton or Bibberty. But I think the attention would be bad for the team. Let Seattle sign him.

Wow! Yesterday, I typed - there's going to be dancing in the streets if/when Donald loses in November not just in the U.S. but across the civilized world but deleted it after a moments reflection desiring not to significantly break our rules. But after the post above, my words were nothing in comparison. Trump supporters unite but if you're Black, Hispanic, Asian, Jewish or anything else that doesn't fit under a pointy white hood - go back to where you came from.

This team lost to a bad Chicago team who’s QB didn’t even surpass 100 yards after boggling the national anthem issue.Best in that they have Tomlin and a strong locker room.
Some players came out afterwords and said the team wasn’t as prepared as they should have been and said the anthem thing was a big distraction that week.
Our coaches have their hands full just trying to be good football coaches. I’d prefer they not also have to navigate and deal with social issues on what could be a daily basis.
Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 84 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.
