Minkah on Film Session
Probably the only show I can watch on TMZ...errrr...the NFL Network.
Film Session. This is a good one available on YouTube.

Guy is amazing. Gonna be fun to watch if we start play at some point.

Thanks for posting this. Minkah is not a huge guy. People who walk by him on the street aren’t thinking he must be an NFL player. But he’s cat quick and very football smart. His biggest muscles are inside his head.

Perish the thought.
Fantastic acquisition that may put Kevin Colbert in the HOF
BUT
Safety depth is putrid
Minkahs leadership and intelligence can’t be replaced
Who fills in?
Cam Sutton?
Nick Markakis on Astros: "Every guy over there needs a beating."
I don’t know...but Tomlin has never had a losing record without him...
“Ah, who cares about Seattle’s Space Needle? Dumb looking building, you can see the whole stupid town, built by some jagoff! Pittsburgh got Mt. Warshington, gorgeous hillside, beautiful views of the whole city, built by God…we win!” - Pittsburgh Dad
Probably not the answer you're wanting to hear, but Jordan Dangerfield and Marcus Allen.Steeldrama wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 1:14 pmPerish the thought.

What's the Steelers' record in 2019 if Minkah isn't acquired?

Not saying you are wrong Pabst but Allen would be a disaster at FS. Dude barely survived when he played deep safety at PSU. He has no range or physical abilities to man that position.Pabst wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 1:22 pmProbably not the answer you're wanting to hear, but Jordan Dangerfield and Marcus Allen.Steeldrama wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 1:14 pmPerish the thought.

Definitely my point. I'd say even with Ben improving the offense significantly, he's still possibly good for the wins that take us from fringe playoff team to reasonable contender.

Minkah is really smart. I loved the back and forth between him and Warner. Thanks for posting.

If that's the only injury, we could get 10 wins with the schedule we have. There are enough first or second-year QBs on the schedule that Butler can fool into bad decisions especially with the pass rush.
The issue in my mind is playoff and quality wins" without Minkah I'd say none.
More of Cam's leadership, please (2:00 minute mark): "Welcome to the crew baby!" That's natural you can't write it better than that.

Ben comes back, Tomlin doesn't = CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

And another classic Tomlin line at the end:
"Minkah needs no endorsement from me. The tape is his story teller."

Does anyone know where the good Asian NFL jersey sellers are online so I can order my Minkah shirt? My 84 Brown jersey is out of date.

Those guys alluded to recording a film session with Cam Heyward, so keep an eye out for that one.

Minkah is a humble, respectful, young superstar. The Steelers’ trade for him looks golden from multiple angles!
Fitzpatrick’s capacity to understand how to shrink the zone he patrols in relation to the offense’s field position and/or defensive pressure put on the quarterback is possibly the most important football IQ characteristic a safety could possess. His ability to excel within that zone is more than just high football IQ in my opinion, it’s an intangible that factors in having good players around him, trusting them to excel in their roles, and instinctively putting himself into position where his natural abilities can take over the rest of the field.

I also found it insightful that Fitz recognized Edmunds directing the defense on that one play.
"Get down to the LOS on the right side with a player in motion." Edmunds isn't Fitz, but I like the confidence minkah had in taking direction from another player. No ego involved. Kudos to Edmunds. They make a nice pair.

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

Agreed. Once they get on the same page I think they will plug in some exotic coverages that take advantage of Fitz’s abilities to play a variety of DB positions. I think Edmunds was trying to do too much covering for the other safety but now having 39 there might give him the ability to just be at the spot and do his job.CORE-TEN wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 7:16 pmI also found it insightful that Fitz recognized Edmunds directing the defense on that one play.

I mean it was his first game with the team. He probably had about 100 looks in practice the whole week. He probably has the entire playbook memorized by now. I think he is going to be scary good. The team is going to come up smelling like roses. Basically you had your 1st round pick for 14 games in a throw away season only setback is you only have his rights for 3 more years.COR-TEN wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 7:16 pmI also found it insightful that Fitz recognized Edmunds directing the defense on that one play.

Considering he said he's never had so much fun playing football, I'm guessing he'll want to sign an extension after 3 years. I hope.stillthere wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 1:59 pmI mean it was his first game with the team. He probably had about 100 looks in practice the whole week.
