Per NFL network. Back to Jags.
Didn’t see that coming - I really liked him.

This is shitty for the Steelers. He was a great addition to the team the last few seasons.

It's a two-year, $6 million deal for DT Tyson Alualu with the #Jaguars, per source.

He was set to make 3.4 or 3.7 million. So Maybe something similar to what Alualu got gets it done.SOCALSTEEL wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 6:43 pmLions just released DT Danny Shelton.Could be cheap option.Colbert has the Lions as a favorite in his contacts.

Damn for that amount you have to think they didn't want him back. Seems cheap for a quality DT.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
That's about what they been paying him last 4 years.
Came from Jax with 2 year and $6 million
Then re-upped for 2 years and $5.75.
I guess at some point you need to get the young guys in there...Buggs and Davis.
Plus those 2 combined make $1.7
I liked Tyson.
Missed only 4 games in 11 years.
62 of 64 in Pittsburgh.
But he will be 34 before camp.

2 years 6.18 million. PA has the lowest income tax of any state that has a flat income tax. So not a big factor. Although it gets complicated when you start thinking about what states your road games will be taxed under...Greeksteel wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 7:12 pmno state tax in Fla so whats the eqivalent amt to stay in pittsburgh, 2 yrs 8mil?
I actually have some confidence in Buggs and Davis.Stosh-67 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 7:02 pmThat's about what they been paying him last 4 years.

Their last bluegrass album wasn't bad. . .

I am a fan of Davis' feet he moves them quickly and reminds me of a dancing bear. I was also a fan of Buggs and Davis fighting over who was going to get snaps vs Cleveland in the last week of the regular season. A little spirit is good.I guess at some point you need to get the young guys in there...Buggs and Davis.

We needed to draft a defensive lineman pretty high anyway, both Cam and Tuitt are getting older and you have to feed that position group like any other. Also why I thought Chris Wormley would be resigned to a modest deal and kept in the fold.

Huge loss. Alualu was playing at an all-pro level until he got injured. Easily the best football of his career. And to lose him for so little money. Unexpected and disappointing.
