Anyone else have a secret crush on Bonnie Raitt?

Discussions. Still no racial epithets or political campaigning. Don’t bring any of this back to the sports boards. What’s said in FFA, stays in FFA.

Anyone else have a secret crush on Bonnie Raitt?

Post by Quixotic » Fri Sep 24, 2021 9:43 pm

I’ve been beyond a fan for probably 45 years. She is such a good player. She is such a sweet singer. And she is HOT. And she appears to be really, really nice. That’s all. Just wondering if it’s just me.

Great guitar player but the last thing I would ever call Bonnie Raitt is hot.

Ya, me either.

I’d do mother Judd waaay before her.

I don't think she's all that attractive but she knows her way around a guitar!

I really like Adele....don't LOVE her, but this is really good.

AMAZING venue, and great production.

And other than Whitney and Aretha, hard to find a better diva (sorry, Mariah).

Why the Adele hate? Generational talent, not sure how that is debatable.

I was more so laughing because I thought KCs response funny.

I am a serious music weirdo. I certainly recognize Adele's immense talent. It is that. But I'm just not into most pop music. I do love me some Neko Case. And probably also am in love...

Adele is very talented. Her material is awful.

I'd rather hear John Lydon sing Happy Birthday.

At least it's interesting.

Bonnie Raitt's version of John Prine's Angel of Montgomery is her best work.

Damn near perfect song. This is like Frank singing Cole Porter.

Also:

wake me up when Adele does anything half as interesting as Cities in Dust by Siouxsie or Tattooed Love Boys by the Pretenders. Or Lorde's first album.

Siouxsie and the Banshees=The Cure+Kate Bush

Thank Christ Adele is not part of my generation.

I don't loathe her, but if she is seen as a generational talent.....Holy Shit.

If Adele is a generational talent, what does that make Joni Mitchell?

Who sang in many different styles, played multiple instruments (in original tunings), authored music and lyrics and the highest level, worked in multiple genres, and designed much of her album artwork?

Love that song. Tedeschi Trucks does a great cover of it, too.

Is there a more talented couple on the planet than Tedeschi/Trucks?

Hiatt was a COVID casualty BTW.
