Tomlin losing the locker room would probably help, since, you know, players LOVE playing for him....
“Being a fan is fine, but there is a line you can cross that makes it really unhealthy,” said Ken Yeager, PhD, a mental health expert in the department of psychiatry at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

The seat warmers don't even work in Tomlin's car....

Call me crazy but when players like Heywood and Minkah are complaining about the quality of practices, I think that may be in process.Professor Half Wit wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 3:40 pmTomlin losing the locker room would probably help, since, you know, players LOVE playing for him....

Suwanee, GA’s own Cam Heyward doesn’t seem shy about voicing his opinion
I think losing what few leaders the locker room has would warm the seat but I think a guy like Heyward is too professional to publicly criticize Tomlin.
Passive aggressive Ben could make an appearance but he’s got at least one foot out the door so not sure how much sway he has.
Youngsters like Bush and Claypool going off the rails would just be chalked up to immaturity so I think losing the few respected vets and sadly yes more embarrassing losses the only hope to jettison Tomlin.
Too bad USC didn’t give Tomlin the Lincoln Riley treatment
Good lord what a sales pitch
No brainer move ditching Norman for LA

Nick Markakis on Astros: "Every guy over there needs a beating."
I remember someone saying VInce WIlliams was a true gangster, the only one in the locker room.
Probably could use his leadership skills about now.

Keep in mind that it is a two way street with regard to how practices are run. Gone are the days of the dictator and my way or the highway, that rarely works and can get old quickly.JackLambert58 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 4:25 pmCall me crazy but when players like Heywood and Minkah are complaining about the quality of practices, I think that may be in process.Professor Half Wit wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 3:40 pmTomlin losing the locker room would probably help, since, you know, players LOVE playing for him....
If players are bitching about the practice it is probably 50% on them, maybe even considerably more, to fix it and 50% on the coaches. Or some other split.
I was never on a team with the dictator coach. But I have been on teams where we practiced poorly and teams that practiced intensely and that was just at high school and the military.
When we are talking about professionals, it should not be tolerated by players. Do you think Michael Jordan would have anything less than a super intense practice? He’d have punched someone in the face.
If they are screwing around it is not all on the coaches, it means they have no leadership in the locker room as well.
Ben can bean someone in the head with a ball and fix it.
Cam can toss someone like a rag doll for dicking around.
I am sure Najee, TJ and Minkah would help crack the whip as well. These guys are at the tops of their games and know how practice should be run.

Maybe, but does anyone think he'll be fired for one losing season if that's this campaign's result?Jobu wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 6:59 pmhttps://www.post-gazette.com/sports/joe ... 2111280055

Does anyone think he won't be given a chance to rebuild by Deuce?
Does anyone think Tomlin would be fired and not just allowed to have his contract run out?
This dude is a LOCK to be with us until 2024 unless he decides to leave.

I'm curious to see what this board will do if Tomlin either retires, quits, or is fired.Professor Half Wit wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 7:05 pmMaybe, but does anyone think he'll be fired for one losing season if that's this campaign's result?Jobu wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 6:59 pmhttps://www.post-gazette.com/sports/joe ... 2111280055

This place would explode.
And then move onto deride whatever dickhead is put in his place.
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.
Well, if the Dunce hires the person willi mmmm to work for the least amount of money or promotes some dipshit from within or a guy with ties to Pittsburgh or some other reason other than being the best damn up & coming coach available then that vitriol will be deserved.
Given the track record I’m already expecting to be pleased Jibbs is gone and then highly disappointed when a Keith Butler type of lackey is announced…

But do they really? Does any other coach have as long a list of disgruntled players wanting out as ole Cool Shades.players LOVE playing for him....
Just off the top of my head…
LaGarrette Blount
James Harrison
Ole Lev
AB
Jesse James
LJ Fort
Melvin Ingram
James Washington
(Maybe) Devin Bush
And now you have several key players and team leaders questioning how they practice, and former players questioning the teams toughness and integrity.
Shades is a fraud. Most of the fans know, it seems a lot of the players know it, and now some of the local sports media, that have run cover for the clown for years, are coming around. When does A2 wake up?

I'm just pleased at this point that a few of the players are still vocally disgusted with losing.

Yeah most likely. EMR is more concerned with "No losing seasons" and "Three head coaches since 1969" than he is with winning Super Bowls or at present moment just being good.Professor Half Wit wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 7:05 pmMaybe, but does anyone think he'll be fired for one losing season if that's this campaign's result?Jobu wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 6:59 pmhttps://www.post-gazette.com/sports/joe ... 2111280055
