Watt should have a sack. He didn't tag Huntley down. Huntley got back up and he tackled him stripping the ball in the process. That is a sack and FF. I don't get it.

bullshit that wasn't a sack for Watt
I didn't think it was. He never really tackled him.
They have a term "strip sack" for a reason.
It was improperly snapped is in the stat ruling handbook.

See bullet A, improperly snapped:

Aborted Plays
An aborted play is a play from scrimmage during which there is neither a pass nor a kick, which falls into one of the following categories:
A. the ball is clearly centered improperly, meaning that the ball does not reach the intended receiver of the snap within the frame of his body or arm -span;
B. the intended ball-handler fumbles the snap from center;
C. a backward pass (hand-off, lateral, reverse, etc.) behind the line of scrimmage is mishandled, or not handled, resulting in a fumble (the ball touches the ground or is caught in flight by another player.)
NOTE: If the ball-handler fumbles when pulling the ball back to run himself, score the play as a rushing play, not an aborted play.
D. a punter who has received the snap from the center correctly, but in the process to punt the ball, the ball is dropped (unforced fumble).
In each of these cases, charge a rush for 0 yards. In A, B, and D, the rush is charged to the player who receives, or intended to receive the snap from center. In C, the rush is charged to the player who attempts the backwardpass.
EXCEPTIONS: If the player charged with the rush recovers the loose ball and advances beyond the line of scrimmage, credit any advance as rushing yardage. If the intended ball- handler fumbles the snap from center, recovers the ball, and successfully hands the ball off to

It would've been a 1st. The OL actually got good push up the middle.
They were blowing the whistle at the snap. Defenders were pulling up. Can’t say it would have been a 1st.

Looking at that BAL front (#1 in the league against the run?)....QB sneak definitely not there.

No doubt we were getting stuffed. For once stepping on our own dick worked out for us!

But there has to be some sort of "continuity" determination. The QB clearly picked the ball up and was ready to proceed with a play. I understand the rule you're quoting, disagree that is the proper application in this instance.

Yeah, if you're going to run the ball on 4th down, how about being smart and spread the D out so they can't put 11 guys in the box - fucking morons!

Then technically, there is no 'strip-sack', it's one or the other. If you strip the ball, it's not a sack.... if it's a sack, there's no fumble...

I can tell this is going to be one of those afternoons that will be up and down and full of twists and turns. At least it looks like the Jaguars came to play today, that's a good sign.

He just in panic mode there. If he just breathes and trust his skills and looks to make sure his hand goes in the bread basket…would have been incomplete.

Just in - not a sack for Heyward...

It was an aborted play because huntley didn't have a clean snap there.

Wouldn't it be the most Pittsburgh thing ever to have the Jags come through and we shit the bed though?
