This is all just a big marketing scheme to sell “I got banned from SteelerFury.com for 2 hours” t shirts.

Listen Ben was off and Tomlin did make his mistakes but Big Ben led this team to a comeback victory again.

To be fair to everyone, is there a team that is more Jekyll and Hyde than the Steelers?

I mean, this team can look like the worst offensive team in NFL history... like the forward pass is the crazy new age invention that is scary and bizarre, and they can go one possession after another and another and another where Najee just runs into nothing, and then Ben will throw a ball five foot over a guy's head or into the dirt, and our WRs look like someone is throwing a used diaper at them rather than a football to catch, and these mindless screens that have no chance of anything...

And then for one drive, the o-line will start blocking and there will be actual pockets, and DJ will make these moves that just clown the CB on him, and Ben will just deliver an absolute pinpoint pass like that third down throw to Fry Daddy, and it's just incredulous. Like where the fuck is this coming from and where the fuck has this been? Hell, going back a couple of years ago to that Jags game... I mean, they looked like some rural mountain high school team going to play in the state tournament against the big city Catholic school with all the recruited kids going D1 and D2, just totally and completely physically overmatched, and then the fourth quarter comes around and we're throwing bombs and moving right down the field with no fear and somehow steal a win...

Every Steelers game is like being forced to go through the Bataan Death March and at the end of it you end up at Disney World and you're standing next to Mickey holding a big Goofy milkshake and fries while everyone is celebrating and you're just confused, exhausted, and somehow relieved.

I would disagree only in that it totally depends on the defense this season. There are no shootouts with this offense. If the defense can hold the other team to 17 points or less the Steelers have a shot. I can turn the TV off after a team ups up 21 on the Steelers.

I don’t know what the people you banned were saying, but I would guess those who have been critical of Ben this year thought the exact same thing.

Ben is the greatest Steelers’ QB. He is a QB like no other, and we have been so blessed as Steelers’ fans to have watched him play for our team these last 18 years.

Ben is also nowhere near what he once was, and is part of the reason our 2021 offense is limited in what it can do.

But no QB on the roster has us in the playoffs with this inept offense other than Ben.

All these statements can be true…and are true.

(:37) (Shotgun) T.Huntley sacked at PIT 8 for -2 yards (sack split by C.Heyward and T.Watt). PENALTY on PIT-C.Heyward, Unnecessary Roughness, 3 yards, enforced at PIT 6 - No Play.
Why was Heyward flagged for an illegal hit on this play? Sure, Huntley was technically in the pocket (and QBs cannot be hit in the head there), but he looked to be a runner / ball carrier when tackled (and runners are held to different standards with regards to contact).

Am I missing something about understanding rules with quarterbacks, or was this a judgment call that went against Pittsburgh?

Number one rule of watching the NFL…don’t try to understand or interpret the rules.
I think this was another case where the ref thought it looked bad and that it “deserved” a flag.

Judgement call:

4. When a quarterback retreats to pass, and moves in an attempt to avoid the pass rush, even if he is moving forward in the pocket he has roughing-the-passer protection until he clearly becomes a runner.

Finally got to watch the game. Holy mother of fuck. My brother is a huge Colts fan and they get stomped by JAX, Steelers won. Life HAS been good last 36 hours
Have to give one of the game balls to the players along the sideline on that last drive. On the 3rd and 9 play from the 46 to Johnson, things were starting to get real hot real quick after the play. Johnson turned around and was really going after Stone. I could almost see a flag coming. All of Johnsons teammates along the sideline immediately surrounded him and quietly and efficiently moved him on down the line. Johnson still looked pissed when he got back to the huddle. A penalty right there would not have been good.
The legend continues!

Exactly this- it looked really bad so they threw the flag
Fact is it was a textbook tackle and Huntley was clearly a runner in that situation.

Yet Ray Ray can be defenseless and a DB launches his head into Mccloud's head with no flag.

It's also curious that Huntley was running the ball in this case and got "passer" protection but when TJ tackled him and forced the fumble, he was not a passer so TJ didn't get a sack.

Come on man!! sacks have been awarded to the closest D player when a QB pulls down the ball, starts running and decides to slip OB behind the LOS rather than getting hit but here when there was no one in the backfield so it was clearly a pass play .... no sack.

The official explanation was that Huntley became a runner when he recovered the fumble but how many times have we seen QBs pick up a ball of the ground and still throw the ball, often only to avoid a sack but sometimes for a completion. Garbage decision that should be overturned but won't.

I don't know why the NFL always confuses what seems to be an obvious thing. It should be simple, if the QB is tackled/tagged down behind the line of scrimmage it is a sack. What does the aborted play have to do with it really? Watt should get another sack.

My problem is that the helmet contact only occurred because Huntley lowered his helmet to start running with the ball. I.e., it was only roughing the passer because he wasn’t a passer.
