Jerry Jeudy still out here. Seeking mid-to-late R1 or R2 and a player at a position of need, but open to discussion if you have an idea.
Anyone want to trade up for the Ravens pick at #22? Open for any offers.

5th rounder and a signed Brooks Orpik puck for Moore.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 4:51 pm@fractalsteel Dan Moore is available in trade. Just in case.![]()
Curious to see if Mayer or Kincaid will be first TE off the Fury board
Amazing how what we do here in the Fury draft mirrors so closely the actual draft
That wouldn’t happen if we didn’t have so many gurus

Damn. Needed a Ross Lupaschuk to round out my collection. Would really tie the room together.fractalsteel wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 6:40 pm5th rounder and a signed Brooks Orpik puck for Moore.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 4:51 pm@fractalsteel Dan Moore is available in trade. I like the Kincaid selection for the Chargers.
In their current state, I hate everything about this organization.

I would have if certain people would stop picking my targets.

Washington is notably bigger faster and a helluva better blocker than those two and likely better hands and run after catch ability
I don’t know who is getting drafted where
I know Washington in the right situation has a chance to be the kind of special game changing dual threat player those two can only dream of

The TEs were picked in the order I expect so far, FWIW. Maybe each a couple of picks earlier than on the day, but nothing crazy or unrealistic.

Tempting. If it were some Teddy Blueger gear I'd be all over it.fractalsteel wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 6:40 pm5th rounder and a signed Brooks Orpik puck for Moore.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 4:51 pm@fractalsteel Dan Moore is available in trade. Just in case.![]()

GM Jizz Mop made his selection at 9:30 last night, EST
16 hours and 22 mins later 10 more picks have been made
But let’s just start from 9am
That’s 10 picks in 7 hours
For an average of 42 minutes a selection
I’m noting this and will be way more than 5 mins on the clock when pick 43 rolls around

Good landing spot for Addison, btw, JL58.

Well.....most of my targets were picked, so I went with the best RB prospect since Saquon.
The Bills did a nice job upgrading the IOL in Free Agency. They have some needs elsewhere, but Robinson is a massive upgrade at RB. This pick gives them a 2 headed monster at RB. Frankly I don't think Cook is anything more than a change of pace back anyway.

A real running game could do wonders for the offense in Buffalo, and really have a chance to get Josh Allen back on track. Could really help out that team, Pabst.

I mean, if we go Dawand Jones, I'll live with it.... planet theory and all. And on this board I doubt he would last to #32 as he more likely is in the real deal.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 4:41 pmNo, I wasn't gopiong outside my board. No need to count past that. If you were trying to optimize positionally to set up your next two picks, i frown at you sir
But yeah, premium position + all american + some well above average nfl tools + still pretty young seems pretty justifiable at #17 overall.
1. transcendent talents as BPA
2. best by a large margin at their position, which happens to be a position of need
3. great talent & fit at a position which is a need and which isn't deep in this class
4. position need/fit
5. outlier athlete or talent at depth position
BUT. I might think John Stallworth is the best prospect in the draft and I also might think it's okay to wait to pick him until Round 4 if I have other HOFers on the board to pick and I'm all but certain I can get him later.
Truthfully, I don't have guys ranked 1-100... more like tiers. For my most recent pick, I chose between 4 guys all in the same tier.
But man, his footwork is baaaad. Any OL coach worth a damn would love to have a guy like him in the room to help mold though.

I don't see this at all. Like, for example, I think Broderick Jones' footwork is wayyyy worse. So mechanical. Dawand Jones moves like an athlete, especially pulling and moving laterally. He's been asked 95% of the time to short set, so he's definitely better at that but whatever issues he can clean up with his footwork, his sheer size and width will cover up. As I said to someone earlier today: he's a better athlete and prospect than Orlando Brown by a fair margin, and some team just won a SB with him at LT.tbsteel wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 8:51 pmI mean, if we go Dawand Jones, I'll live with it.... planet theory and all. Was Jones drafted at RT ?? For the direction the Steelers are headed I think it’s a good move
6’8 imo is the upper limit in the nfl though

Does anyone want to move up a little? Depending on how the next two picks fall, I may not need too much for 2.33.

In the real world, the Texans are suddenly getting a whole lot more talented. Was looking at their roster this morning, and it was slim pickins, but the last two additions should help a young QB.
A part of me believes that the ‘height ceiling’ for the NFL is due to the reality that if you are 6’9” and athletic, the only reason to play in the NFL is that you hate money.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 8:57 pmWas Jones drafted at RT ?? In that division... maybe with the exception of the Jags.BlueridgeBronc1 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 9:30 pmIn the real world, the Texans are suddenly getting a whole lot more talented. Maybe. But not every tall guy can play in the nba.
I can like the pick because it fits where the Steelers are going but I still don’t think that path is the best one in 2023 and beyond
