I think it's a good pick for that fit, but I don't like him all that much. And I love TEs, generally.

I agree. Much more of an inline blocker type.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 6:40 pmI think it's a good pick for that fit, but I don't like him all that much. And I love TEs, generally.

To me, he's not great at anything on the move. Sit down in zone and make catches and some power YAC? Yessir. Block down on guys in the box? Sure thing. Blocks on the move? Not so good. Beating man coverage with a burst upfield? Not really. The way he's sold reminds me of Devin Bush--creates overly high expectations. There are some things he's very good at.

It’s all about fit, though, right? As a complement to a guy who’s a pumped up WR? Absolutely. As an all-around first option weapon in the NFL? Maybe not.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 6:47 pmTo me, he's not great at anything on the move. Sit down in zone and make catches and some power YAC? Yessir. Block down on guys in the box? Pick logic: Buffalo's current starting safeties are Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde. Neither is on a long term contract, and both are 32 years old. Damar Hamlin's future is still unknown.
Antonio Johnson doesn't have a true position in the secondary, but wherever he ends up fitting, the Bills are going to have a need in the very near future. He does have experience as a slot defender, which is nice. Depending on your source, he can go anywhere from early 2nd to early 3rd, so 2.59 fits his draft range.

I'd like him more in round 3 than where he'll probably go.jebrick wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 7:06 pmA great Colbert pickbradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 6:47 pmTo me, he's not great at anything on the move. 3.65 DEN (via HOU) is open for offers. Looking to move down a bit in the 3rd and add picks.

Poor Denver. Desperate times. Need to win this year to stay employed and in a related note, gave all the quality picks and cap space away. Yay!

Probably tomorrow at this rate... I'm watching some guys fall down the board though! Might look into trading into the 80s...bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 7:11 pm@BlueridgeBronc1 warming up in the bullpen. @ugandasjoy01 checking her list. Someday she may pick.

Tank Dell one of my favorite prospects in the whole draft. Not a fit for the Steelers because kind of redundant with Calvin Austin but man is he good.

I was considering jumping in at the top of the round, but that's a steep price with no future picks... I'll definitely consider throwing PIT an offer once the 3rd gets rolling.

I can't believe Foskey fell to 62 overall... that is a crime.

He has had a little bit of a bad trip through all-star season and combine. Poor showing in Mobile I thought hurt the perception on him.ugandasjoy01 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 8:43 pmI can't believe Foskey fell to 62 overall... that is a crime.

When Zach Harrison blows up his pro day tomorrow, a lot of people are going to be jumping on the bandwagon. There's limited seating available so get on now.

Harrison never really got the chance to put it all together on the field in Columbus, but the talent, pedigree and athletic ability are all there. Somebody's going to get enticed by that. Might just be one of those better pro than college types, but there was some definite inconsistency at tOSU, and you can't say Larry Johnson is a bum position coach.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 9:04 pmWhen Zach Harrison blows up his pro day tomorrow, a lot of people are going to be jumping on the bandwagon. Both on the board, huge Buckeye homer, I went Foksey.
*with apologies to Shep, who I see just picked Harrison...

Shep might be a bigger OSU homer than you. I'll put him between you and @OhioSteelerIce wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 9:10 pmHarrison never really got the chance to put it all together on the field in Columbus, but the talent, pedigree and athletic ability are all there. @OhioSteeler on day 3 be picking guys you didn't even know were on the team.

Oh, not so sure about all that... after the 3rd, it's pretty much all down to day three in Philly
Been turning over many rocks.
On Harrison, could also be that Chase and the Bosa Brothers set a pretty high Rushmen standard for top overall recruit EDGE players in Columbus. Harrison just never filled those shoes as the kind of alpha we were used to.
