Good one. Happy thanksgiving. A few thoughts;

- I’m a UW fan and Browning was very good but the knock was the arm strength. He played some great ball though and was competitive for a quarter against Alabama in the playoff game.

- Might not be totally realistic but Commanders firing Ron Rivera and hiring Bienemy as the HC seems smart to me. He’s developing Howell well considering what he was as a prospect. He was at one point leading the league in passing yards and probably could have won a few close games against better teams (Eagles, Seahawks). If they let Bienemy walk then I think you absolutely bring him in if he would do it. He’s an offensive mind that knows what you need to do to win in the modern NFL.

Except we don’t operate in the “modern NFL.”

His offense is way too dynamic for us.

I wasn’t explaining myself very well but my point was that Brownjng and Pickett have pretty similar physical tools, yet Browning outperformed Pickett in CFB and did it for 4 full years of starting. He did this because of his feel for the game and anticipation. It’ll be an interesting comparison on Sunday, as Browning gets his first ever NFL start.

How Browning with his resume was undrafted and Pickett a 1st rounder is just completely mystifying to me.

No, totally. I think you explain it very well.

Kenny was over-drafted. A stat-bloated 5th year in a historically weak QB class. Went to Pitt. Colbert on his way out and was obviously drinking too much.

The perfect storm, if you will.

Think about it…without the extra Covid year, would Kenny have been drafted at all?

I am telling you guys...I believe very strongly that the tipping point was Charlie Batch calling Art Rooney cheap.

Now...I think Rooney IS cheap, but he can't let it stand that he's so cheap he would risk the performance of the team because he's so cheap.

My story and I'm sticking to it.
