Cleveland Bengals of years past. The Browns qb Jersey was fucking hilarious, the Steelers are going to have one with 5 in the last year.
The Bengals had a coach that should of been fired for his non-playoff wins with a cast of characters that we would all laugh at, head cases.
The Steelers are a hybrid of those 2 franchise's, makes me fucking sick. Jesse James was right when he called this franchise the Kardashians.

It’s cool, this is exactly what a portion of the fanbase wanted. They couldn’t wait until Ben was gone. Miserable fucks getting what the deserved. At least this off-season has shown they’re willing to address past mistakes and take a shot at fixing them. That’s huge progress for this organization.

I don't have issues with fixing past mistakes. Like Russell Wilson 5 years ago wouldn't be bad, but he was terrible last year. Fields would be ok if they signed him as a free agent, I wouldn't of given any draft picks for him. I can't wait to see 8 and 9 in the box this year, should be signing RB's cause they are going to need them.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 11:43 pmIt’s cool, this is exactly what a portion of the fanbase wanted. We just upgraded our QB position X2…for slmost nothing. An upgrade X2 for nothing seems at least ok…right?

Plus, he ran for another 4-5 TD's. So, 30 TD's came from Russ. If he comes close to that here, we have a chance to win the Div. I'll take it.Obviously wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 12:02 amLet's see, a 66.4% completion percentage with 26 TDs against 8 INTs. Anyone see the crazy Deebo Samuel rumor?

Why though, would Denver give the guy 100 million dollars not to play football for them?

My guess is that a lot of folks commenting on that didn't really watch many of his snaps. So your plan for 2024 was fat immobile 42 year not 42 year old Brady Ben in the bunch formation even though even Mason was better by 2020?

Maybe because Broncos leadership is stupid and their asshole head coach, for whom the Broncos gave up a first round pick, seems to viscerally hate Russell Wilson? It just seems like it was a bad situation all around.K_C_ wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 12:33 amIt was definitely a bounce back season for Wilson.Charles Demarr wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 12:27 amI know…people acting like Russ was bad last year is wild. It's all about context. Payton had just about nothing that he wanted on the team, and the QB wasn't what he considered a fit for his type of Offense . The front office probably gave him the OK to tear it all down, save a few young/cheap guys, and build what he wants in the next three years. Probably as simple as that.
Here's the only thing I'll say about Wilson.jmacinwbp wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 1:58 amK_C_ wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 12:33 amIt was definitely a bounce back season for Wilson.Charles Demarr wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 12:27 am

I absolutely could not believe how terrible he was in 2022. I said it in many of the "other game" threads. Wilson played like he had taken a handful of Xanax before games. Dude didn't even look like he gave a shit. I could not fucking believe it was even possible a probable future Hall of Famer could be that bad. Like he was another guy.
He definitely had a bounce back year last season and let's hope that guy from 2022 never rears his ugly head again, at least while he's a Steeler.

BTW, if you don't think the QB room is far better with Russell Wilson (yes even at 35), Justin Fields and upcoming draft pick than Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky and Mason Rudolph, well then I don't know what to say for you.

The Steelers probably had the worst QB room in the league last season. And I only say probably because Mason Rudolph was able to put together two good games and two “okay” games at the end of the season.Steeldrama wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 2:47 amShocking the amount of poasters who can’t see this ^^^

Does the breath of fresh air that is change in the QB room just mean new lipstick on the same old run, run, pass, punt pig? Or perhaps, gasp, a departure from the same old same old stale predictable offensive ways of the Tomlin Era? Nah.....

This is a wild ride. Don't agree with all the decisions but at least they're taking some shots. I like the move for Fields, cheap, low risk investment.

Russell Wilson signed a one-year contract with the Steelers for the vet minimum because the Broncos were paying him $39 million in 2024. But Wilson and the Steelers intend to do a longer deal at the end of the season, per sources.
