We still don't understand clock management....AT ALL!! 17 yrs of this.
Never will.
Let's take those 2 timeouts to the second half.
Ok, so Tomlin doesn't, but why can't he DELEGATE it to Smith???

I watched the replay again. Watt has almost a full step before the RT even moves.

On a positive note, three Tomlin Tds in a half is pretty good and Justin Fields made more good throws downfield in two quarters than Kenny Pickett did in two years.

Steelers don't have a single pass attempt over the middle.

And why Pat Friermuth will do nothing in this offense.

Let’s see us revert to a Fred Flintstone offense to open 2nd half

Fuck that downfield shit

I also called it earlier - the only shot downfield came when they had ATL sleeping. They sold it so well they threw a short pass and didn't even call TO before.

This is what Tomlin does. He sucks mediocre teams into a game of attrition and tries to lull the defense to sleep and catch them off-guard. He's WAY beyond conservative on offense.

"Revert" is probably more generous than is appropriate.

Cousins has thrown 3 passes that should have been intercepted.

Watt got fucked out of a strip sack.

Fields, so far, hasn't thrown any horrible passes since the first drive.

Creed Freiermuth 2 catches for 9 yards

$48 million for that seems like a real deal

Speaking of Bears, Caleb Williams looking about as good as his last 12 successors in Chi-Town. 8/15 for 53 yards.

Watt is amazing. His relentless nature is one of the main reasons the Steelers routinely win games like this.

Offsides. You can admit you were wrong. He's taken at least 3/4 of a step before the RT has even moved (and we all know tackles start moving BEFORE the snap). There's no way in hell Watt isn't offsides on that play.

The reason you are correct is because edge guys try and time their jump off the center’s head but there can be a lag between that and the ball being snapped. It’s on the ref to maybe call false start if the center starts flinching his head pre-snap.

It was close but yes, it was offside.

Stolen my thunder. Todd Haley TDs are now Mike Tomlin TDs. Maybe we shoulda called them Tomlin TDs all along.

You bring in any wideout that’s good and they would demand to be traded after one game.

Exactly. And, generally, when you see a guy get that big of a jump it's offsides (without needing a frame-by-frame breakdown). He's just moving way before the RT. Like you said, maybe the head bob should have been flagged, but that's very rare.
